What percentage of people on Earth will own Bitcoin by 2020

I've been running a poll for some time now about the value of 1 bitcoin by 2020 and it's safe to say a lot of different opinions and guesses are made.
This poll completes the other one and i'm really looking forward to everyone's input in this.

For me by that time the percentage average would be 70-80%, I do believe in that year many of the of the bitcoin users will rise up and will be added into bitcoin community count. I guess this premonition of mine will be happen by that time has come.

I guess that is too much of an estimate, it's majority of the population of the world and I don't think it's possible for 2020. There must be something big event that would suddenly change the world in the years to come within the period of 2020 from now. But to predict what it is, I don't know because I believe it will not happen. It's unrealistic and it will just  discourage us from hoping if it will not happen.

Now bitcoin is using by most probably 5-10% people of the world.And since bitcoin is spreading rapidly and people all over the world are started to accept bitcoin I think In 2020 bitcoin will be used by 20-30% of people in the world.I am not sure cause anything can happen, may be bitcoin will be used by more than 30% or it will dead before 2020.

Actually it's just a poll. Most of the answers and votes there are opinions and guesses. The truth is we don't know what is going to happen few years from now, though we could speculate based on the things that is happening right now. If the poll is right then I think we are too small compared to fiat user if we would only be 2% by 2020.

I think we are just 30% percent but i hope in the future bitcoin will be popular in our country that we can advertise it in television.
Maybe in the near future will be in 40% if some banks accept bitcoins..

I think this is just a survey not a prediction, Because as we all know none of us will never know what will happen tomorrow for real. And those comments from different people will only their thoughts and premonition that the average is 50-50 chances. I guess by that year its more than 50% of bitcoin community.

Since no one can ever determine the total number of users then your guess could be right, however it's too big to achieve but there's no impossible with bitcoin and everything will just fall at the right place. In the near future there will be more success considering how people accepted bitcoin.

I think it is in between 60-70% average of people around the world will become the users of Bitcoin. And that is not worst anyhow if that happen, it will be a good effect to all bitcoin enthusiast of course. For sure by that years many merchants are accepting bitcoin.

Yeah, you are definitely correct. No one knows the exact or accurate average percentage of people the actual count in the whole world by 2020. Just every time we talked about the future all comments or answered by the community here was only an speculation nothing is true than can be happen in real.

We can speculate that the user numbers will double every year for the next 10 years.

I am totally agree. During next three years many things may happen with bitcoin and with it's price and the next halving is coming and it will affect a lot on bitcoin. So I think it's too early to judge now what will happen with bitcoin and how many percent of people will use it.

I am totally agree. During next three years many things may happen with bitcoin and with it's price and the next halving is coming and it will affect a lot on bitcoin. So I think it's too early to judge now what will happen with bitcoin and how many percent of people will use it.

Just use your logic. If everyone has the same thinking just like you and keep on saying " It's not right to judge now, wait till it's coming " then the world will be slow to develop itself.
There are many factors that could affect the acceptance of bitcoin and yeah, I think that the numbers above are just too much. Within 3 years, I don't even sure that bitcoin could own about 20% or more users, it's too short.

Who says that 5-10% or world's population is using bitcoins right now? That is a really huge number and i don't think we can even reach that till 2020, and if we could reach 5% in that year then it would be a great success for bitcoin in my opinion. Don't consider world a country.

Perfectly right. People in internet who knows about bitcoin will utilize and spread it around the world in some months if the 5 % people are using it. We could say in 2020 may it reach to 2 to 5 percent people.

bitcoin became famous around the world and increasingly popular on the internet. bitcoin very rapid development. probably every day bitcoin have extra adopter. so I'm sure in 2020 bitcoin users will reach at least 5%

i think that is such a large number of people i personally do not think that such a big number of people can accept bitcoin upto 2020. i do not think that the number will exceed than 10 % because in next 3 years we cannot expect such level.

By 2020 I think there might be only 2-5% of the world's population that use bitcoin since many of the world's population especially poor ones cannot afford a phone or a pc with internet connection to use bitcoin on a daily basis. Unless there will be a way to use bitcoin offline without having to use internet, the probability of having 5% more than the world's population using bitcoin by 2020 is still a pipe dream.

That number is too optimistic, when half of the human population have problems accessing water when one third don’t have electricity, I don’t think we are anywhere close to reach a number like that, if we reach one percent before this decade ends we should consider ourselves lucky.
