I will base it from the users here in our place i think it would be 10-30, the progress of people knowing bitcoin here is a bit slow and they were more busy in their work and family than watch a news in internet about btc. well 3 years is far so we still cant predict whats gonna happen in btc adoption internationally.

I think after 3 years, people will more become open minded and most of the people in our world will use internet to make things easier than before. Bitcoin is one of the possible internet technology that can be adopted by the year of 2020 and i think the ratio of the people who will use bitcoin will be big because it is starting right now and we can expect a ratio more than 20% of our population.

Im going to have to go with a conservative estimate of 5% of the worlds population will own bitcoin by 2020. 5% of the entire world population is enough people to create a country that has more people than the USA. I think that we can really estimate it because we can know how many transactions per day but we can never really tell the exact but at least we can predict/estimate, I think that by that year 20% of the population will know bitcoin and will use this. And 20% is a big number enough.

I've answered 2-5% and that's just me being very optimistic. I was taking in into the account the latest bitcoin acceptance in countries and hoping that there will be a few more to accept it, also the marketing. A lot of people are using steam and are bound to see bitcoin in the payment options and that should bring in more people too. Bitcoin just needs marketing or maybe more promotional gatherings in various cities. Altho I can say that in my town there are a few people everyday asking me about bitcoin and probably a lot more on other places too.

What made you even think that. This is just impossible. If we go according to your estimation. That means 70000% increase in 3 years. This is not at all achievable in any way. At present less than 0.1% of the world population owns bitcoin. It may reach to 0.5-0.7% according to me.
