Presumably the post you are referring to is this one:

which was not deleted but it was moved to the appropriate part of the forum and still exists.
Forum moderation discussions also don't belong in the mining section but I'll leave this here till it's clear you've seen the response since you seem unaware that posts may be moved.

It doesn't. If you were subscribed to your own thread for notifications - as you always should be if you made the post yourself - you'll get links to the responses which will always direct you to the right place. You wouldn't normally sit there refreshing your own thread till you knew it had responses...
