A new proposal is taking place to seal in a decision to change the Safe Exchange Coin ticker from SEC to SAFEX.

At this time there is an active proposal to officially change the Safe Exchange Coin ticker from SEC to SAFEX. This is something that we have been receiving some push back about, and generally the polls indicate that switching from SEC to SAFEX will have a positive effect for our coin. Especially after the SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) rejected Bitcoin as a trading instrument on official exchanges in the USA. So I hope you can vote to support the shift and it has been great to see so much feedback from the crowd.

Please also read this article that I wrote, and I urge us Safe Exchange Holders to prevent us becoming victims of hacking at exchanges. Please withdraw Safe Exchange Coins unless you plan to sell them in the near moment or at this time. If you are simply storing them in the exchange's wallets it is a really bad idea!!

Even though bittrex.com exchange at this time our only exchange partner is demanding 1.5 btc to change the ticker, which I have indicated is unreasonable; however, we have submitted to a new up and coming exchange: cryptopia.co.nz to list Safe Exchange Coin under the new ticker: SAFEX.

Progress on our informational video is coming along excellently, and it will be ready for viewing in the start of next week (Monday/Tuesday). This along with an improved website layout and refined text will help us best understand Safe Exchange Coin, our mission clearly written, and what we are developing to accomplish that mission.

Before the month is over we will be able to manage Safex Coins on the safex.io website, make proposals, vote on proposals, as well as purchase Safex Coins, and earn affiliate rewards for promoting Safe Exchange to new interested parties through a link which means you can forward information over the internet about Safe Exchange and be rewarded for any purchases made on the safex.io website through your affiliate link.

Furthermore, starting next week we will move into the second step of the Chille Blockchain and the github repository will be published. This will officially mark Code Production of Alpha One.

Status of the safex.io "website update"
At this time Pavle and I are still sorting through deploying the update website with new content and layout. This is taking some more time due to revisions and coordinating the sizes of graphics with Marija.

Please note that next Monday it will be published and a press release will be issued regarding the website update. It will also feature this video on the main page.

Chille Github repository
Due to more significant involvement required in the website update, as well as facing meetings surrounding recent hiring activity, there will be some delay pushing the peer to peer networking base layer. However its destination will be here: https://github.com/safex/chille.

If you're interested you can "watch" that repository and you will see the updates in real time. It is empty at this time; however, it will become active following the first push that will take place over the weekend as we come to a conclusion on hiring and critical communication updates.

Times are very exciting, because our team is continuing to expand and the message about Safe Exchange's decentralized anonymous marketplace is being heard and supported. Like this when we launch there will be people who can test and be early adopters of the software: offering their goods and/or purchasing for each other what they need, in a secure and private environment.

A push has been made to the safex.io website. Some more adjustments are being made to the graphics to address pixelation and background of the animations, as well some more UI improvements to the key making page.

What do you think?

Furthermore, the push required much more attention from me which impacted pushing networking tests. However, now that the base site is published its refinements will be less attention requiring. This means that we are now in full swing on developing our Chille Blockchain.

Hello Friends,

We've just finished pushing forward the adjustments to the pixelated graphics from last week, as well as the updated translation to Chinese Language.

Pavle is now starting implementation of the Safex.io5 coin management page user interfaces so that we can import keys and use Safe Exchange Coins as well as Bitcoins from within the safex.io site itself. This will also lead to Proposals and Voting to happen in there.

We are still on the look out for a full stack developer to supplement our developments with user friendly applications to interact with our systems: Safe Exchange Coins/Chille Blockchain. This is a key hire and I am confident that we will meet the right person within the next 7 days.

Tonight we are hosting the Belgrade Bitcoin Developers meetup. This is a meetup that I have started to replicate the format of the San Francisco Bitcoin Developer meetups from which I have learned a huge deal from those leaders in Bitcoin/crypto currency. I expect that we will be able to increase awareness of Safe Exchange and crypto currencies in this city as it is so abundant with talented people who simply have not yet been exposed to reliable information about crypto currencies and Bitcoin alike.

The safex.io wallet is entering testing and will be launched within the next couple of weeks.

safex.io Wallet Development
The most recent update is progress on the safex.io wallet. This production has significantly progressed where the UI and backend have been merged. We will be completing features and continue to test it; however, within the next couple of weeks the safex.io website will be integrated with its own wallet.

Moving forward on the wallet is such a significant event because the next steps of the safex.io wallet is to integrate proposals and voting using safex coins which will be essential for the public alpha testing of the Chille Blockchain.

Chille Development
Development on Chille is moving forward with the beginnings of the crypto library being sorted. Internal testing of the Chille blockchain seem to be on target for May, and a public testing in June. This is an important synchronization because

Next steps will be to integrate the voting and proposal application with the safex.io wallet so that we can all participate in the discussion and features for the Chille marketplace. We will need to be decisive during the Chille testing phase, though the points of interest will become more clear at that time.

Safe Exchange Business Development
The past few weeks have been very productive on the business development front. Having concluded a conference focused on the formations of a new nation: Liberland, I have made many new acquaintances and have been taking the time to share experiences and the safex development. We have been able to hash out several initiatives which will be springing up consistently going forward. These initiatives generate demand for Safex and its Chille Marketplace.

We have also made progress on funding acquisitions to maintain our existing team and provide some room for expansion over the next few months.

So much appreciate all the support that is happening behind the scenes, and to meet so many new people who are seeing the vision of a safe and free market.

In the last week we've gained funding that covers our current team expenses and expansion of two additional team members for the next 18 months. This being said I have been traveling to Switzerland, and visited with Bitcoin Suisse to convert some of those bitcoins to national currency. Great thanks to their excellent service.



It was a great time to spend in Switzerland because of some special meetings, and the cities there are very beautiful.



Furthermore, also during this weekend our developer on the safex.io wallet proposed to also produce a safex desktop wallet and we have agreed to pursue the project.

This Desktop wallet will be open sourced and published as a github repository. The same code is being used on the safex.io wallet, so it is a very simple port to produce an "offline" desktop app as well for people less interested to make an account at the website.



We will keep you posted about the progress and eventual launch of the safex wallets.
