Best to start small and trade with a couple of million satoshis to get used to the markets and minimise risk, when you get comfortable then you can always scale up - I've taken that approach and am doing pretty well so far.
as all kind of trading are risky and specially if you have no experience in trading. therefore if you are new in trading then you should try to start from a little amount of bitcoin, and when you learn the tricks of trading and gain some experience then you should start trading with big amount.

Being successful in trading doesn't depends either small or big amount that you will invest. As long as you know how to make a successful trade then it will be fine. Trading is risky but you can minimize it if you let your self study and learn the process.
Yes, that is the reason there is no common thumb rule on minimum capital amount requirement for a successful trading. A skilled trader will manage into maximum profits from small initial capital itself. But, we are here discussing about new traders, for them some less than $50 would be enough capital for both bitcoin trading and altcoin trading.
I am glad I had started my trading even less then $50. I just invested 0.1 BTC when bitcoin prices was trading around $240. It means I managed to be successful with my trading with less then $25 as trading capital.

I am still sticking with only altcoin trading and I do not prefer to go for bitcoin/usd trading as it might require more capital amounts. I'm just making my own technical analysis, that might be the prime reason I have survived with my minimum capital amount.
and specially if you  are a newbie in trading then you must start trading with a very very little amount of bitcoin as you first need to get some experience about trading and then you can go for good trading.
As you can start trading from any amount of bitcoin, because there is no limit in investing bitcoin, and the second reason is that there are so many cheap prices crypto currencies which can be traded from a very little amount of bitcoins. But it is also a fact that if you are a newbie then you should start trading with a very little amount.

There is no minimal amount, you can start with any amount you want and feel safe with. That is all beauty of Bitcoin trading, you don't have upper or lower boundaries. You can start with very small amount that is no big deal if you lose and slowley increase the amount how you are geting more experienced and skilled. With time trading gets under your skin, so you will want more.

Hey mate,
Starting to trade is a bit hard especially to the beginners like you, and me 
So talking about the amount to be trade, I guess this tip will be the tip with almost wise man who starts on trading too, trade only the amount you are ready to lose onto, because you do not know what will be the result of your trading and it is just like investment, investing to something you do not know what will become to.
And one more thing, make some research when you trade, and think so many times on this, it takes time to do so but it is ok, as long as you are sure with what will come up. Time is not hindrances, just make timing on that.

That's why I can suggest that if a newbie wants to try trading then that's the first he must do, to know the basics and there's no shame that you are studying first on how the market moves and its circulation. Because we've been all through there, so when you think you are already good enough. Then that's the start with minimum amount probably 0.005 BTC is already a good start.
Money management has needed at the trading phase.  Minimize the risk. But it won't mean for sue you learn all of the phases in trading.
It will run for naturally at we have done with the trading activities. 0.005 is a little amount but it's not being worthy. The better pair will be beating over 0.

Agree with you, that is really a good procedure to be follow, not only in trading but in gambling too, if you are new in gambling and do not know any thing about it, you should try to start from investing a little amount and when you learn and get some experience about gambling then you can increase your betting. But, practically gambling and trading are not same.

yeah there's no minimal amount but be sure to have amount higher than the fees itself and if you are going to trade and currently having few thousand satoshi and then forget about it. you must gather even more satoshi until it reached mbtc and you will be fine on your trading. having ultra low amount will only drive you mad at the end when you're really serious on it

Yes, start with the small amount on trading especially when you are just  a beginner,
and the most and greatest rule on trading for me, trade only the amount you can afford to lose.

It's true that you can start with any amount, but don't expect to make any significant kind of profit with small amounts, especially when trading Bitocoin.

If you already know a bit about trading, I would start with around 1000 or 2000 dollars, if that's an amount you feel comfortable with.

What is the minimum amount to start as a trader?
No need a big amount to start trading if want to trade start in altcoin any amount you can buy a altcoin. Then wait to get high that voin before you sell it. Altcoin trading is profitable so buy low and sell high.

I would say 0.1btc.
This is how much i started trading with and have made well over 4x that amount back so that is all you really need to start out your luck. And if you don't have any then you wouldn't have lost too much to try you hand in it.

If the purpose is earning a living from it, in the cryptocurrency market, I think at least a few bitcoins may be required to make a good profit, even being a market with relatively high volatility. But the important thing is to have good sources of information.
In the Forex market, the initial investment is likely to be higher, especially given the fact that volatility is lower, that is, it's a more stable market, with much higher liquidity.

If you don't have any money yet you can begin by just writing your trades in an excel sheet and simulating your trades that way if you are able to get profits in these mock up trades then you can move to use real money.

Nowadays 10 satoshi or so by my U2 system with the satoshi you claimed for free...
Why spend BTC from your poket if you can spend satoshi earned for free?

Once you have earned by winspiral you can try spending BTC...
but first earn and learn  by winspiral to perfect your trading skills...

You are right. Due to this type of mockup trading we can eliminate the problems of how much minimum amount we can risk at the beginning days of trading. Yes virtually we start trading with zero investments and with zero risk with paper trading. Once we get confident with our skills on trading we can move to live platform with some $25 to $50 capital.

minimal number 1 bitcoin trading.
But who seriously has this much to start trading? If they are a beginner which is when one starts trading then do you think they want to dive in balls deeps with 1 whole coin to just "test the waters" with? Roll Eyes
I would think not.
