i think minimum amount for started trading is depend on your financial capability because you still can start trading with low amount less than 0.001 btc but the profit also will very small and my advice if you want to start to trading you must have at least 0.1 btc for your first capital

well, it is obvious that the bigger you invest as a trader the bigger you can earn. for example buying bitcoin at 400 and selling at 410 is both possible with $10 and $1M you pay fees as a percentage so doesn't matter in fees but you will earn smaller profit on $10 rather than 1 mil.

but also you will risk less money in this volatile market, so i guess it depends on your capabilities (risk management and ...) and how much money you have at your disposal.

Weak hands have been complaining about missing out ever since bitcoin was $1 and never buy the dip.
Whales are those who keep buying the dip.

Only a very few people have that many Bitcoins, the majority of the people trade with less than 2BTC and are happy with profits of around 10% which actually isn't that bad if you manage to do that every month.

I think it should be clear as day to people. To avoid trading if you cant lose what you start with period.

Bottom line if you have whatever amount you start, ask yourself would you still be okay if you lost the "xyz" btc.

Then ask yourself again, could that bitcoin amount could of been better making as a micro loan then taking a chance of what others fail on.

for trading you usually dont have to have a lot of bitcoins as you can buy and sell small amounts of other cryptos for sure

i remember having 0.05 bitcoins only and making some small profit out of it from time to time, even though it wasnt worth my time i spent

when i was young my father managed to get from me a promise, to never put a cent into gambling, but only gamble with resources, that come from gambling.
Because at that time, i considered Bitcoin as gambling, i built EVERY Satoshi i have, upon filling QR-Codes and Dicing the scraped satoshi.
I needed over a year to be able to start trading with 0.03 BTC, but that year, gave me the opportunity to make friends, understand the community and feel and live other active members storys.
THAT kind of understanding/experience is, what everybody should get, before trading Altcoins. Today, i usually recommend new members to start crypto by reading other altcoins bountys and to start engaging, is gives you the needed experience AND make you earn your funds. Best to start earning in an economy is being PART OF THE ECONOMY
(Bitcoin is something different, because it does not change because of small social issues, but for BTC you need more money)

take care of yourself, while trading and having fun,
I love this place, but its not the wild-west, its the freaking saloon
so long Matthias

When I was supposed to join a trading business they ask me for a required amount of $1000 which is that I did'nt realize that they are actually on a promo. I guess thats the reason why they want me to join for a low amount. But then when I made up my mind to join they told me that promo period ends so the required amount is $5000, now I cannot really join, just sharing my experience.

yeah one of the factors for you can get a lot of benefit is large bankroll or capital to trade.
but do not forget the greater the capital that you have. you'll get chances of losing more bitcoin.
so bankroll should adjust to your ability

I myself do trading as my hobby. I usually trade bitcoins to fiat and vice versa somewhere around $100. That amount is not really much but enough to make some small profit with free money (I mean not using for any purposes yet). However it still depends on yourself but I still suggest at least $100

You can generally start with any amount, that's one of the advantages of bitcoin of not having a minimum but the exchanger fees would be eating in your money if you are using less than 1 BTC since some have fixed fees IMO.

What is the minimum amount to start as a trader?

Nothing. You should make trades on paper for a month or so to prove to yourself that you have some skill at trading before you put bitcoin at risk. If you cannot make money on paper with no stress you sure as hell will not be able to do it when you have bitcoin at risk. When you make a trade decide how much you are willing to lose if the market goes against you and set a sell stop. Every trader has losses, the key is to keep them small and let your winners ride.

I know just some people have such portfolio, but that ammounts is to people take a living from exchange since they buy a large altcoins and can dump them making instant cash at a low fluctuation, something you cant do with a low investment. As i believe you can start with 0,01 or less the thing is search about the coin you going to invest,or wait the bitcoin up and down along the day that are less volatily on it.

I agree with you. getting profit 10% from 2bitcoins is very very good imo. If you can earn 10% everyday, it's so good. And i think even you only have 0.2 bitcoin you still can be a trader.

i am an inexperienced altcoin trader and i am still learning the game at yobit. i have not yet deposited anything and i am just using the snowballing amount of cpins i get from their signatura campaign. i really like the idea of starting with almost none and hopefully growing the bankroll more and more while i am still learning and with every order magnitude increase, hopefully so does my trading skills lol.

If you are still learning things to be a trader then i think a 100$ worth of bitcoin is a good deal to start, experiment with the latest alt coin as it is easy to trade latest coin and when you have enough experience then you can add more coins.

I feel involving into trading of a single coin is enough on initiation of trade. When days pass you may learn more about it and make more profit with the addition of other alts in demand.
