Ripple still does not trust. I have been researching XLM a similar project in recent times and it has come to me more securely. We can invest in XLM.

I agree...main guy in Stellar once worked at Mt. Gox, what can go wrong?

Jed worked at Mtgox before Stellar? lol I wouldn't wonder if the team will one day travel to japan with one way ticket. That speaks a lot about trust, whether this information is true or not, its obvious these two are rivals from the beginning but I will be on the winning side whichever happens. If one day XLM overtakes XRP, I'd be accepting that fact too.

XRP the third largest digital currency by market capitalization, fell 10% to $1.22, according to CoinMarketCap.

It was not immediately clear why the cryptocurrencies were selling off...  Embarrassed  Embarrassed

should surge up to 7-9$ because it is the best digital asset for payments. Xrp takes only three seconds per transaction, combined with the lowest cost per transaction. can perform 1500+ transactions per second. also available in many exchanges today (50+).
Although Ripple is a good coin but i think it's hard to reach $7 - $9 in this year. Why? The price of Ripple now is $1.48 and its market cap is $57 millions. If The price of Ripple reach $7.5, its market cap is $285 millions and ripple will pass Ethereum and Bitcoin to become leader of cryptocurrencies world, this is too hard to happen now because i think market will not accept any coins instead of bitcoin and ethereum in 5 next years.

Yeah, the old market cap problem of Ripple, and you can bet that it will meet extreme resistant in trying to be number one, although I suspect its centralized leadership will definitely place more and more control over the supply, in an effort to break top spot. I believe it will eventually happen, but it will not last, it will just be a hype to start even more money pouring in.

Still, it can break 7-10 dollars, but when and only when Bitcoin is back above $20k, therefore, making XRP still number 2 or even 3 if ETH also grows.

You can make that generalization about all of the altcoins right now on the market.  If BTC rises, everything rises.  IMHO I think ripple should perform a coin burn to give the price a bump.  I'm hodling regardless as I'm still in the green.  I just don't see BTC going up to 20k any time soon.

Interesting article in the Motley Fool about how to gain exposure to Ripple using listed companies:

https://www.fool.com/investing/2018/01/22/the-top-3-ripple-stocks.aspx

Quote
If you want a piece of the Ripple pie through more traditional markets, these are top Ripple stocks you need to know about.

1 and 2. American Express and Banco Santander

The reason financial-services giant American Express (NYSE:AXP) and Spain's Banco Santander (NYSE:SAN) are listed together is that they're part of a partnership that's currently testing Ripple's blockchain in instantly settling cross-border transactions.

The deal, announced in November, will allow U.S. based American Express users to send non-card payments over the AmEx FX International Payment network to U.K. Santander accounts and will process these transactions within Ripple's blockchain. Ripple touts the ability to settle these payments instantly, which would be light-years ahead of the three- to five-day wait time usually seen when banks verify a cross-border payment. If all goes well, Ripple would hope that AmEx and Banco Santander expand their usage of Ripple's blockchain to other parts of the world.

Of course, investors should keep in mind that for both American Express and Banco Santander, this blockchain test represents a minuscule amount of its everyday business. American Express is entrenched as a credit service provider for affluent consumers and businesses, while Banco Santander makes its home in Spain and other European countries. It'll be great for Ripple if this partnership bears fruit, but if it doesn't, it'll have little bearing for AmEx or Banco Santander.

3. MoneyGram International

On the other hand, money-transfer service MoneyGram International (NASDAQ:MGI) appears to be more intricately tied at the hip to Ripple than any other stock.

On Jan. 11, Ripple and MoneyGram International announced that they'd entered into a partnership to expedite payment flows by utilizing Ripple's XRP coin. Aside from this on-demand liquidity solution, which Ripple refers to as xRapid, the two will explore MoneyGram's integration into Ripple's ecosystem through xVia, according to MoneyGram's press release.

The expectation of this partnership is that it'll result in significantly quicker transfer settlement times, and in the process also dramatically lower cross-border transaction costs. Perhaps the only thing unclear here is if this'll mean lower transaction costs for the consumer, or if MoneyGram International is simply going to boost its margins. My guess is it'll be a bit of both, which would allow MoneyGram's lower transaction costs to undercut its primary competitor, Western Union.

The beauty of this deal is that it really allows Ripple to showcase its coin. Imagine someone in the U.S. sending currency in dollars to someone else in Mexico. With this deal, the U.S. dollars will convert almost instantly into XRP coins, and then those coins will be converted into Mexican pesos, once again almost instantly.

If you search long enough you can find an article about almost anything on the internet.

I can find a dozen of articles that reveal the ripple scam. Just type ripple/scam on google. Why do you ignore those articles?

i believe xrp and all the crypto's for that matter are being driven down today due to tomorrow announcement which has the possibility to  make these individuals serious gains. these trading rating could have a huge positive impact on the like xrp, ada, and xlm and bring the price back up making them an awful lot of money over night.

I need to hurry to get XRP. The market is heading in a very bad direction. Bitcoin needs to be rebounded. Otherwise, getting a subcool can be risky. I think things will get a little better this month.

January is always choppy and nothing new this year as well. Had got XRP at some high price and now it has fallen a lot. So now adding some more to it because it is a matter of time and once the boom starts it will move upwards very quickly and will recover all my costs and will good rise as well. Yeah holding might increase this time as btc may take some time to rebound it seems now.

I have my bet on XRP, I'm becoming known to my family and friends that I am into cryptocurrencies and they were telling me they heard BTC on mainstream media already so they were asking which coin to invest with and my response is Ripple. There is a reason why its been on top of the coinmarketcap even before it got its price right now. So #hodl.

Hello, why you dont likeripple so much, i mean its going to be decentralized? !

We don't like Ripple due to the fact it's trash and speculator coin. Nothing more. Some other coins are tied with a platforms which have a functions but Ripple is just a thing to pump 'n' dump and nothing more.
