Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

2.5 seems a petty amount for him to scam. At any rate , I've let Blazed know so that he may reconsider removing devthedev from DT until a public explanation from devthedev is posted.

This is very unexpected indeed.
I am curious to hear devthedev's explanation to this situation. There is one explanation that could possibly explain his innocence, although I am not 100% sure if I would believe it or not. I don't want to say what this possible explanation is though in order to prevent him from simply applying my "suggestion"

Did someone forget to renew their domain? Think that might be the explanation.

Its not unexpected, its the flow of whats going on here and that "explanation" you are referring to is "hacked account" ? If so, I also am not even 1% sure if its true. It all looks more like a sinking ship where all rats with some safety jump off board first. The whole board is rotten and needs some sort of reset... but yes, lets give the benefit of doubt so there is more entertainment for all not involved.

Fuck the signature - if you are so desperate for money why dont you go and get a fucking job first - once you did that, perhaps you will think twice what kind of shit you want to be affiliated with.

Did someone forget to renew their domain? Think that might be the explanation. domain is same Hey everyone! I will now be selling Passphrase.io. A zero knowledge notepad. What I think he means is, domain ownership expired and someone else took over. Would that explain the same hosted contents however?

See my reply above: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1382087.msg14056458#msg14056458Probably an honest mistake. I've had domains drop that were suppose to be auto renewed before, going unnoticed for quite some time. Not sure why nobody brought this up. Check the domain status, dates of both members posts and it makes sense.

There are a couple explanations...
-devthedev actually sold the domain + scripts to Unchi -the domain expired and Unchi regged it -devthedev was hacked -some sort of deal between devthedev and Unchi that went sour -...
Maybe it's wise to just wait untill both parties had a chance to give an explanation before jumping to conclusions.

Just out of curiosity, the so called "honest mistake" - lets say it happens in the real world, this so called "mega trusted superhero" would not in any way contact the previous owner and the owner, who is here claiming its his through his domain, is some sort of "super scammer" ? Amaaaaaaaaaaaaaazing. The only thing we can learn here is that we can be proud not to have any of these people involved in politics
