Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

hi there folks

UPDATE as of now i am taking over the maintenance of donations payments. there have been 117 new people that have received LITECOINS so far.

with Bitcoins moving to a mining criteria where only ASIC miners can profit. Litecoin is the obvious alternative for GPU / CPU miners just starting out.

new services are coming to litecoin soon, along side the existant ones, so it is not just another alt currency, it is THE ALTERNATE currency to bitcoin.

much like:
Euro is an alternate to Dollar
silver is an alternate to gold.
Piccasso is an alternate to Van Gogh

they both have value, they both have demand.

I shall pay out when i see the posts with valid addresses that meet the conditions of the first post. but i shall only post a confirm message after atleast 3 requests to reduce the pages of messages made by myself Cheesy

I've joined and started mining in a Litecoin pool, but the hash rate being reported by the mining pool is drastically lower than the hashrate reported by cgminer. Trying to find a good thread here to get help with that.

CGminer itself uses exact speed of system

pools use the average success / 10 minute theory.

its a rough guide only but once you have been mining a while and got many successful shares it does become quite accurate.

it also seems like you have not claimed your free 1.5LTC. post your LTC address here and get 1.5LTC free.

I got my 1.5 LTC.  Thanks!

I dabbled within LTC mining over the past couple of days.  I'm kinda sad my CPU doesn't give me more than like 30 kh/s.  And my 6950 only gets like 6 kh/s.

I think snare rolls should be used as a currency.

Something is not set right with your 6950, what are you using? I am getting 8kh/s with a built in 6250, which also seem slow now that I think about it..

check out https://github.com/litecoin-project/litecoin/wiki/Mining-hardware-comparison

a 6950 should be getting near on 400k/hash
you might have to change the settings. different miners have different ways of doing it but i copied this from the comments related to ATI 6950 which might help

Stock Shaders @ Aggression 18, gpu_thread_concurrency 5632

check out the forums mining support section for some tips, and when finally out of newbie restrictions you may want to post a 'help' request if you dont have the answer
