Is this the first scam effort that is supposedly based in the USA? I am omitting obvious poor performer like BFL that actually tried to produce something, and did so at one time. The others I've seen in the last year were always in some country other that the USA.
As a pure Scam, ja it could be. Even the AMT/Bitmine.ch kerfuffle https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=304605.6400 did start as lets, call it at a minimum over-enthusiastic marketing by Bitmine.ch. Josh Zipkin of AMT was 'just' their 'Made in USA' end of their A1 based miners and was/is quite a piece of work. The BCN scam would be right up Zipkin's alley.

Looks like they've paid for another press release: http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/ph-miners-launches-powerful-cryptocurrency-miners-for-bitcoin-and-litecoin-300229590.htmlThis whole thing is an absolute joke, using that old image is a pretty stupid mistake as its been used in other scams. Unless of course its the same people trying to scam again? It’s been two years since pH Miners founders decided to create their own cryptocurrency miners. But the domain phminers.com was only registered at the start of 2016. Surely the first rule in any new business is to secure your domain name. I just hope nobody falls for this scam, I don't think they will as it been very poorly executed and people are much wiser now.

Seriously obvious and STUPID scam, as the ONLY companies with previous experience with BOTH Bitcoin AND Litecoin miners are (1) Innosilicon, and (2) Gridseed / SFARDS.
End of list.
Anyone stupid enough to fall for THIS scam deserves the Darwin Award.

I just wanna know why a 15 year warranty??
No one out there gives anything bigger than a 5 year on anything these days....
The miner would be losing money in 2 years, So can i deduct 13 years worth of warranty off the price??

The icing on the cake is a google search of the phone number on the PR: 3475354730
The search reveals that this number has been a source for the infamous IRS "You are under arrest" scam phone call.

Even if it were legit, it's safe to say that the miner would underperform greatly and they could be using some other company's miners. I really don't trust these guys even though the product looks good (but it's a copied image thats photoshopped to look custom).

We really should let this thread die. Someone took smartminer and photoshopped it.... not a suprise.
The sad thing is chances are someone or ones will fall for it. I cannot explain it but these keep poping up due to they make profit again is sad. This product does not deserve to keep the name high up in hardware section. And all the bumps do this.

I'm just really glad scammers are lazy. About a thousand bucks and a week's actual effort could have put together a million-dollar scam, but who wants to do that when you can play on the computer for an hour instead?

New York-based PH Miners Inc., manufacturers of cryptocurrency mining machines, has announced the launch of two new miners for the bitcoin and litecoin cryptocurrencies, which will allow users to process transactions and track the release of new digital coins.
PHminers is comprised of specialists with many years’ experience in bitcoin hardware as well as litecoin hardware and has developed the Bitcoin Miner 25TH/s, which retails at $3,000 and comes with all the necessary equipment, from casing to control unit and cabling, to set up.
The company’s Litecoin Miner 1000MH/s also costs $3,000 and can also mine other cryptocurrencies. These digital-currency miners are guaranteed to deliver long-life service, with the company, which only accepts payment in bitcoin, providing an extended warranty of 15 years to cover any kind of failure.
Both miners have been fully tested at multiple stages following manufacture to make sure they perform to the expected standards, and free shipping is offered to anywhere in the world, via FedEx or UPS courier services.
Eric Franklin said, the CEO of pH Miners, stated: “We believe that our products will have a high impact on the market, and we’re pleased to now make our first two miners available to customers around the world who want to get into the exciting area of cybercurrencies,”
Let's name the people on the picture, shall we: http://www.phminers.com/aboutus.phpMight be useful later on in courts. BTW, where are the pictures of the board. The case renderings are fine, where is the chip and the board?
