What does that mean? I already inserted my e-mail 8 hours ago and got an email back where it says "Please, activate your email. Follow the link below" and it gives me a password. Now when i press on the link it brings me to the sign in page, but when i type my e-mail and the given password it doesn't accept. What do i need to do different to log in?

It means you were signing up while yesterdays ICO procedure was still on and didn`t activate in time before new one was implemented. Please use new email and set your password by yourself.
