I think it's not about node connecting. The testnet had above ten nodes (I checked 4 node broadcasting transaction through each).
The main problem is ICO distribution. Only about 50% sent to participants.
Sasha need do checks before send. It's easy to create an automatic script, but for some purpose he do in semi-automatic mode.

If it was a problem- Why you said that will be delay at last few min? in 4 days Russia play Wales will get beat and not qualify for the knock-out stages = Sasha will delay coin launch until 25th. |

Sasha stated deadline was june 14th to release code, which he did at like 1am on the 14th. bittrex announced a deadline of today, not sasha. sasha didn't give a date on being listed until today when he said june 20th for bittrex. This all turned out to hype waves even more, $5 floor at launch!
no $5, $50 sure ..many ppl will invest in a coin that his own dev..can't connected it to the exchanges lol lol many trolls on waves platform I sell 500 waves to 0.00000001 BTC  |

If you look carefully what I say, you will see that I have repeatedly talked about that - first, participants will receive their coins, then start trading. Is there a deadline to withdraw your waves ico tokens to a wallet? I'm out of town and don't have access to my home computer.
It is semi-automatic process. When Waves team will start next stage of the withdrawal process, you will get your Waves. Some of the participants made a mistake when entering addresses. Some used - Address of residence. Really  If you are fine, you will get Waves before the start of trading. |

So we postponed from June 1 to June 14 so it would not be a launch disaster, then it was postponed until June 16 for some unknown reason. Now it has been postponed a third time because of an issue with the main net.
I think I would have preferred the DDoS attack that fucked up the LISK release, instead we have a team that has kept the code hidden from exchanges until the last minute only to find out the code is not ready.
