They saved the toughest challenge for last, just like Synereo did...building and integrating a competitive blockchain into their existing tech stack (which hopefully includes hardware).
It's a checken and egg problem in crypto...
Do you build a blockchain then build apps around it?
Or do you build the apps first, and then tie them together with a blockchian?
Companies like WBB and Synereo that promise to do the latter, can string investors along longer and longer (multiple "Initial Public Offerings", 1EX coins, etc).
Most times though, the teams do have good intentions, and do have good tech ideas when they think of them, but by the time they release them to the public (often months and years later), the technology of their competitors has evolved faster than they could have imagined, and they are no longer as competitive had they delivered sooooner.
SO to put it into a simple ELI5 logic:
Your chances of recouping your initial investment decrease, the longer your "soon" really is.
THat said, these 2 companies may be vaporware, but huge upside if they can deliver.

The wbb devs are still pretty insistent that what they are doing is different than other similar projects. Probably not the end goal, but the in the way the technology will get to that goal. Only time will tell, I suppose.
I'm thrilled with what I've seen so far and have seen nothing that has put me off this project.

apparently testing is going well and "new" wbb is uber fast, almost instant transactions and very secure. and that's just on the test servers before they go live on the real deal units with big company usage coming in!   get in now or miss the boat.  |

They will put up a new modded ann thread soon with new name/business plan/direction and v5 wallet - for now I think March 1st was around when they will announced things. Maybe you could join their slack channel afterwards as i'm sure they will have many newcomers post-release of new branding, and when they unveil post NDA real-world co's ready to USE the new coin! - but this part maybe not until April |

Are there many coins that hold information as close to the chest as these guys do? I know they have the NDAs and that means there isn't much that can be said, but it seems like they have been much more action than talking.
Will be interesting to see what happens when all the new info floods out.

With the main thread now closed and new slack invites not happening until after the closed beta is over, it's really impossible to know anything. Maybe someone on slack knows something we don't and started selling. Maybe someone got caught in the dash eth hype and wants to free some btc up. Maybe that asshat from the closed thread is making good on his threat to crash the price to 1 satoshi (lol). My bag overflowith, but I will buy under 10k if we get there. Also, there have always been some significant dumps before big news in the past. Maybe it's happening again? |
