Coinmarketcap started the update and named us Pepe  , Bittrex is listing us as PepeCoin / PCOIN once we finish raising the required funds tonight.





We'll have a new wallet release that blocks out all the old wallets in about an hour, you won't need to move any files but always back up your wallet.dats.

One thing we ask is that rather than listing as PCOIN we take back our original PEPE name. It better represents and is needed. Don't take no for an answer it will be ticker PEPE!

Bittrex has approved our rename to PepeCoin, with the ticker set as PCOIN. We'll still work to be listed as PEPE on Bittrex but PCOIN is a good compromise and the deal we originally made.

The network has been upgraded to wallet version PepeCoin 2.0.2.2 64108-Release and the protocol version has been bumped so old wallets can no longer connect. Please upgrade ASAP, this is a mandatory upgrade. If you are still running on 2.0.1.1, you may need to resync the whole chain by deleting everything except your wallet.dat in the appdata folder.

Bittrex requires 1.5 BTC for any coin rename, with no exceptions. We tried to negotiate a lower price because the cost of BTC when we listed in March 2016 was around $300 and the MEME rebrand cost the dev team badly, but Bittrex is firm on it and we respect their rules.

So we compromise for PepeCoin / PCOIN. Nobody else will take PEPE on bittrex so i think its ok. If pepecash is listed in the future it would be as PCASH, i believe. We've submitted to be listed as PEPE on yobit and cryptopia, though.

Hold on. The coin is PEPE and your telling me the guys at bittrex "will delist it" if you go for the rightful ticker??? Its sounds to me like a bunch of total noobs and kids came up with that conspiracy theory. I can tell you now that Bill and Richie are not wankers and they aren't going to "delist" is you ask for the rightful ticker.

PCOIN sounds shit. it doesn't represent the brand and its so 2014. PEPE is 2020 and its what we are and has our origins. What will happen if you don't take it is some scam coin will come along and take it, diluting your brand.

Time to stop acting like little kids. Man up and take your rightful place.

The community is much bigger for this coin than you imagine. Whats happening now is everyone is trying to get a sizeable position in time for a $10M market cap and beyond. No-one will start promoting until they have themselves a nice stake so just be patient while they accumulate.

Please rebrand to PEPE ticker, there is actually no reason why not and we are paying for this!!!
