Rubies [RBIES] ICO poll

Hello everyone, market traders have expressed an interest in running an ICO for Rubies. To my knowledge, I have not seen an ICO done after a coin is already launched. One advantage, is you can already see how we work and our development activity. I will put up a poll to express your opinion on this ICO. The coins would come from the cold storage Rubies that are used for new distribution methods, this ICO would just be another method of distribution which mostly caters to those who do not gamble, and did not receive part of launch distribution. Stakeholders receive 80% of BetterBets.io revenue plus coins, this would not cheapen things for them because in the end they will ROI no matter if the coin is 0.002 Satoshi or 100 Satoshi.

We will make a final decision after the results of the poll are closed, ICO can be done by our team or on an exchange (or 50% by us and 50% on exchange) this is completely up to you all. ICO funds collected would be used to strengthen Rubies development.

Total ICO would be for 1.5 Million Rubies and counted as the 4th current method of distribution.

The Rubies for sale now would just be bought as natural in the market, however based on the poll I think the ICO may not happen anyway, it seems the community is in a deadlock. Our team just wants to see Rubies prosper and be well distributed so whatever everyone decides we will do. As I  stated previously, we don't need ICO funds so this is just for the community's sake and those who wanted more coin at a set price.

Yeah I got some on Yobit as well.  They're still in my wallet there just gathering dust.  Don't know if there's an advantage to this coin compared to the hundreds of other altcoins out there...

The ICO funds would of course help the team to develop the casino in a faster pace however this ICO provide nothing to the buyer except for a tool to pump and dump  . The question will be what will happen to the unsold coins? Most of the time, developers burn the coins to make the total supply smaller and this will help raise the price

Yes,seeing myself as an ICO buyer i would be afraid to invest because the stake holders have more than 2 million Rubies and they also get the casino's benefits which gets their ROI much faster.
However, i don't know if there is any guarantee to them if they couldn't get their complete investment even after 18 months or if they made the ROI in much sooner time but in both the cases they might dump their Rubies as soon as they are benefiting from it.

One thing I'll say is that most of the Stakeholders who joined in the first week did so because of a long trusted relationship built over many months. I cannot say 100% they wont sell after they roi but most of them understand that selling massive sums of Rubies would hurt the value greatly and would probably be much more conservative. Many of these people worked very hard to acquire large amounts of BTC and they are not short term thinking people. I'm saying this not because I want an ICO, it doesn't matter to me it's really just another tool for distribution, but I need people to understand that those who invested over 130 BTC did so knowing this was not a pump and dump and had real potential for Rubies being top 10 altcoin.

They also know that any company willing to give up their Bitcoin revenue in order to devote 100% to Rubies was a serious commitment, these are things to keep in mind. If BetterBets does 1000 BTC in revenue the next year they will make many times their investment while we will still be pushing hard for Rubies to be a powerhouse coin and is our income.

Usage and function far outweigh tech/vaporware in the long term. I think your other points have validity but human nature will end up being the judgement call on that in the end anyway.

What you are talking about is exceptions but in typical cases the work or coding done reflects the motivation of the people doing and if it has new ,real features then it's perfect for investment.I am not saying the coin will be dumped or is another shit coin but people might not consider keeping it for years and decades but instead unload it when the time is ripe.

I concur to a certain degree cashking, our motivation though falls into a category of 'create usage demand before technical prowess'. The fact is, there are plenty of people in Bitcoin/altcoin with developer skills and blockchain theory to make innovative changes to Rubies, in fact some of that is being worked on now. The missing factor until now is real promotion and advertising, there is a large imbalance in this industry where the focus lies primarily on code vs. marketing and use. Rubies is working in reverse of the norm by giving use and stability first, as tech can be added later after adoption is widespread. Either way, the bottom line is we can count on one hand how many business backed coins have ever launched, whereas there's thousands of tech filled altcoins in existence.
