The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

There is an exchange named VirWox, https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/VirWoX  I have used it to exchange Second Life Lindens and USD.  It also exchanges BitCoins.

I try to be respectful and informed.

One really easy way is to look for someone local that will buy them.  I have someone here local to where I live with a very similar last name to your handle.  I met him at the Bitcoin Users group.  It was just him, until I joined.

Check for a users group, or use https://localbitcoins.com.  Once you have an established relationship trading BTC for USD is easy.

That's just one suggestion.

Sell them through MoneyGram, it's like Western Union except the fee's are 10x less. That or bank transfer/wire would probably be the fastest ways to get cash in your hand. Any place with large amounts of feedback will be safe to use though.

MG is generally cheaper than Western Union but saying the fees at 10x less is kinda  stretch.

WU fee to wire $1,000 USD (US to US) - $95 (9.5%)
MG fee to wire $1,000 USD (US to US) - $78 (7.8%)

Either one is a very expensive way to send funds.

I'm a vendor on Silk Road and the best way I've found means taking a risk. There are vendors (like me) who have tons of btc, and then there are customers who have cash and want btc so they can buy stuff on Silk Road.

We trade. They send me cash, I email the coin. We don't know each other, so the potential for getting ripped off is there. But so far it's worked. And worked way better than CampBX, which is ripping me off for $11,000 (I just started a thread about the fun time I've been having with CampBX).

I'd only trust a reputable vendor to send in cash for BTC, I'm sure there's some on silk road out there.

Yes,  It is expensive but  I know a couple of persons that owns MG offices.

I would like to know how it works,  in order to recreate the service and get a better prices.

I need how MG  translate BTCs to USD.  Can you tell me how they do that?

Kind Regards

I think you are confused.  MG doesn't translate, accept, or pay BTC.  They never have.

I have used both localbitcoins and bitinstant with cash at money grams. usual end up paying $2-3 above spot price per coin. but with the price rising it seems to even out after a few days
