tl:dr follow the shitcoin pumps and post edgy gifs that have nothing to do with the post

Some people actually care about what bitcoin means and not just in for get rich quick schemes/pump and dumps.
Just put the troll on ignore. He's pretty obvious. One does simply not join a Bitcoin forum to trash talk about Bitcoin.

1- A fully funded foundation.
2- A team of developers who are not splitting up and creating a core and classic.
3- Microsoft looking at them the eth team seriously.
4- It's new and exciting while bitcoin is old news and boring.
5-Dapps
6-Smart contracts
1. Okay.
2. No. You basically have 3 people that have left the original team. Almost everyone else on Classic is basically random.
3. Irrelevant.
4. False.
5. Fine.
6. Bitcoin can have those two.
Tl;dr: It has nothing besides centralized planning, an IPO and inflation.

Any proof that toronto, Microsoft, wall street buy ethereumHuh
None.

1. I win
2. I win, you're wrong. There is more fighting going on with the bitcoin foundation then there is with isis.
3. not at all, espically since microsoft announced today that as of monday you wont be able to buy with them using btc anymore... dum dum dummmmmm.
4. How is that false, bitcoin is old and boring and gets talked about less and less each day, and eth is new, and freshhhhhhhhhhh....
5. I win.
6. But it does not! Again I win.

So instead of reasonable counter arguments you protect your investment with nonsense? Roll Eyes While it does have its advantages, it certainly ain't much better than your everyday (IPO/POS) shitcoin. Might be time to move this one to the trash section.

Banks are buying ethere
People are run by greed here as well. Initially it was to get away from the banks, but if one can earn money they'd become their ally in a second apparently.

Update: Yes, the ad hominem is lovely. It might be time to put you on ignore. Trash section == altcoin section.

Ahh here comes the butthurt staff crying... Its got a million things going for it that your beloved btc does not. You can start with the 6 or so points I pointed out earlier.
Bitcoin is falling apart, surely you remember more then anyone the phrase "this is just an experiment and can fail"
Why cant you realize that other coins out there will topple btc eventually and right now its looking like eth is going to be that coin.

Now, all that talk about the trashcan is because you're scared and worried. Its ok man.. Im sure you're not alone but the best way to deal with your fears is head on, not by locking threads or moving them to a trashcan.

I cannot see why Alt coins discussions like ETH is tolerated on a Bitcoin forum under non-Alt coin sections any way. They stopped the XT discussions when it was labelled as a Alt coin and now we are

allowing ETH pumpers to hijack every other thread and ETH shills doing their thing all over the show. I also have some ETH but I am not going to force it down onto others in the hope that it might

become something and to the detriment of Bitcoin? How is this allowed on a Bitcoin forum?

There seems to be stories circulating that going forward it could be better to use Etheriums blockchain at times.

http://themerkle.com/factom-plans-to-anchor-into-ethereum-blockchain/

Quote
An interesting topic has been raised on Reddit about how services using the Bitcoin blockchain feel about the ongoing block size and scalability issues. Although there are multiple solutions available to solve the Bitcoin blockchain issues, rumours are circulating of how Factom could move to a different blockchain solution. In fact, there seem to be concrete plans to anchor into the Ethereum blockchain as well, which could be quite interesting in the future.

My logic would tell me that you missed out on Ether and are raging...... haha enjoy the rage quite big lad......... Grin
Foolish ad hominem. You have no arguments to defend your position. I don't know why I expected anything valuable from people who invest in shitcoins.

I dont think so. Eth pump is a sign that open crypto world is growing.
You mean Bitcoin holders buying another Altcoin == crypto world is growing? This doesn't add up. The traded volume ETH/Fiat is low.

Bitcoins problems are pseudo developers and nervous community
ETH problems (for example) are centralized planning, lower security (POS), inflation If you've come along to Bitcoin for the right reasons, you would not consider getting involved in ETH. People need to calm down, ETH can have its own place next to Bitcoin, but that's it.

That sh*t is not even available (with reasonable effort) as package in my linux distribution.

Why should I care?

Where is coinmap.org for Ether?

Pre-mined as hell 60/77 mio Eth, "hidden" as crowdfunding.

The thugs did sell, then bought back in when it crashed and cornered the market. now they can pump and move.

Yeah - bitcoin id ded. Totally. All hail eth. Please all sell your btc, so I get it cheap.

I'm not sure what you think should be revisited. The fact that it has centralized planing, had a IPO and is POS can't really change (or won't). The real question is the place that it is going to have I guess.

It is just a matter of time until somebodies throws the IPO coins at the market.

though i laugh at 'ETH.. and think its not gonna work long term..
especially when the main devs of ETH have moved on, and only acting as a paid spokesperson, rather than being dedicated to the code
i also laugh at lauda using the exact same reasons to protect his cult known as blockstream. to try denouncing ether.

doesnt he realise that thanks to the partnership of PwC, his fanboy masters of blockstream are also in the IBM labs(visa) and microsoft pockets of the same corporations. and if they are now swaying towards ether. then they via blockstream and the blockstream shills will do anything to make people stop transacting on bitcoins real ledger.

one day lauda will realise that he is being used as a puppet. because at first i thought he was a paid sock fully knowing the corporate plan. but now it seems he is just missing the hidden agenda and blindly following out of some social duty to friends, rather than logical duty to the protocol/community

One problem ETH does not have that BTC does is ...the price. Which has been skyrocketing while bitcoin hodlers stood there, mouths agape, wieners in hand Sad

Seriously  Huh  like what is your problem with eth ?
Where can I use my Ether? Oh right, nowhere.

Asking the wrong questions give you wrong answers.

What you have to ask is, is it possible to implement ETH where BTC is currently being accepted?

Yes. it should be possible to implement ETH where BTC is currently being accepted. who's willing? It might convince users if one day I can see some signature campaign here paying ETH of some gambling sites like ETHcasino.com to any with eth on its domain exist. Itshould be a great leap for ETH if this happen. but until we use this forum, it may never happen. and look at its domain bitcointalk.org

There isn't a good reason to do so. You don't really have any good reasons to switch over from Bitcoin to ETH from a users perspective. If anything, you have reasons to stay here (e.g. POS).

I would like to add also this thing :  You can have both bitcoin & ethereum, what is the problem?

The first doesn't put down the second & viceversa. It's a stupid fight between bitcoiner and ethereum users, I think also that is better to have more 'coin' instead to have only one Wink because it's a sort of decentralization and free choice.

Ethereum is here to stay no doubt about it. I dont think it will become bigger than bitcoin.

But it;s always nice to have diversification, and have multiple innovations going on.
