The hype around ethereum makes it seem like "smart contracts" are needed. I do agree it is a nice possibility, but so far I have never needed it, and if people would have needed it, it would have been invented a lot sooner.
It now seems they are offering a solution to a problem that does not exist. Meanwhile the inventors are cashing in, people jump on the train afraid to miss it, without ever having shown a single application that we can use. Or even better: an application that we need.

I see your point, but note that no one needed internet before it was invented, people were doing fine without it. Same goes for every other technology. and if people would have needed it, it would have been invented a lot sooner Lol, so I guess we won't see any new, useful inventions ever again. Coz such would already have been invented if we needed them, right? |

It will be quite difficult to predict whether tomorrow its price will increase or not, the price volatility is one of the nature of cryptocurrency, i believe thats why trading can also be considered as gambling, because we can't be really sure what will happen next |

Before the mass ETH shilling, Ethereum were marketed as a supplementary Alt coin to Bitcoin offering the best solution for Smart contracts.... now everyone is selling it to people as goat piss and a wonder cure for all things Crypto. I would not pay too much attention to all these pumpers, because they are just into this for the quick profits. How many merchants do you know of that accepts ETH? ...and as you said, name one significant application using Ethereum.  |

I do like that idea, something special with a very small market. Not something useless that makes the creator very rich. said, name one significant application using Ethereum. For something with 1 billion dollar market capitalization that is a bit disappointing to say the least. |

For over 10 months the devs and community can't agree about changing one fucking line of code, because "it's not that easy", but wait.... "everything you can do on other altcoin, it can always be done on bitcoin"Right now Bitcoin project is frozen. It's a question 2-3 months for tons of transactions to be delayed even if they pay the default 0.0001 BTC. In my opinion it's a time bomb ticking... |
