If you had one chance to get someone interested in Bitcoin (on a TV interview, or in private conversation with a wealthy friend, for example), and under 20 seconds...
What would you say?

I'd probably say 'Ever heard of the magic internet money?'

Kinda outdated tho, I'm gonna look like some MMM representative.

If I were to get a random person interested I would say "Bitcoin quick rich", because many people are interested in making a quick buck.  Grin

Are you sure about that? Bitcoin can be used to buy weapons and fund wars without political borders.

"Have you ever wanted to send money anywhere in the world as seamlessly as sending an email? Yeah, you can do that. Look into Bitcoin."

I think the get rich quick or world revolution arguments are stale and put off a negative perception of Bitcoin. In 20 seconds, the best bet is telling them there is something that makes their lives simpler. People know to be hesistant of something that sounds too good to be true, but they also like making their lives easier and will actively invest in making every day life simpler and more seamless.

What would I say? Well that's a tough question, I normally don't recommend bitcoin to people because I know they've gotten used to traditional means of payments. I have a few friends that I know for a fact though that bitcoin would make their life easier. They do online transactions for certain cervices abroad with bank transfers that take about 2-3 days to clear. With bitcoin they could send payments with Neteller significantly faster. But they don't really like testing new things and I haven't been successful at convincing them.

Money anywhere in the world within a couple of clicks and a few minutes (ideally).

I sent a pal in Hungary some money for a coffee. A short while later they were drinking it. That's hard to beat.

"Looking for big incoming? Invest in BTC!"
"Are you looking for some extra money? BTC is the answer!"

What would you say?

I choose private conversation with a wealthy friend. Because i'm sure he will make some big investment and i only need explain and introduce what is bitcoin and the future of bitcoin. and if he interested he will make big investment and i can get profit from that.

Cheesy So you repel them away.

I as much as possible try to tell the good sides of it, easy storage, faster and cheaper transfer of funds worldwide, not dependent on 3rd parties etc. If that gets them interested then I can go on and explain the silly sides, scams, thefts and what not.

I would probably say, "Are you ready to be introduced to the way we use money in the future? The way no government has control over it and it has fees that you won't feel it's there in the first place." This is what I say on a TV interview but if I'm talking with a friend, most likely I'll go along these lines: Would you like to remain being my friend, until the end? Wink Then pop into BTCitcoin Tongue

I'd say, "Fuck teh fiat! *spit* Hello, Bitcoin. Thank you.".
Because 20 seconds is never enough to describe the Bitcoin, well, that might not convince anyone to use Bitcoin, but at least, I tried.

Life sucks.
