I'd settle for an automated system wherein someone sent in BTC to a webpage and it spit back out an amazon gift code.

As it stands now I can trade BTC to users for gift codes, and for the time being I like that, but something automated on a trusted system would rock.  But not at an inflated rate, it would have to be straight-up value exchange.  I say this because there are folks in the btc world who still like to charge a premium, and it shouldn't be that way anymore.

Right now I can trade btc for amazon gift cards with a user who will trade at a value for more than I give him.  For instance, if I give him 1 btc at $20, he'll give me a card worth $22.  I only mention this because, in my opinion, the days of inflated btc for goods should be over for it to have a future.

I'd like to buy bank transfers in a currency of my choice with a destination of my choice (within limits, if necessary).

e.g. SEPA transaction of 100 EUR to Mr. John Doe, IBAN 1234..., BIC 1234..., Comment "Anonymous gift".

5 Minutes after sending my BTC to the broker, I get back a receipt that the transaction was accepted and will be executed by the next business day, then the next business day I get a mail that the transaction has taken place.

https://www.coinlend.org <-- automated lending at various exchanges.
https://www.bitfinex.com <-- Trade BTC for other currencies and vice versa.

Ok, so I was at the grocery store earlier and they have this coin machine where you put in coins, and you can get a voucher to get cash back (in bills) from the cashier.

One of the options, however, was to get it back in Amazon credit!   So I'll bet there's an API or something that you could use to set up where someone can send btc and get an Amazon code spit back at them. Smiley

If I could swap my BTC for credit on Amazon, I'd have almost everything I'd ever need.

Curious how a proper lady on a street corner would accept payment before getting in bed with someone, though.  Do they count as items?  Just kidding  Grin

indeed, if you have £5k upfront (as a reserve) to become a corporate client and predict to do £250k a year then you can have the API call any amount you want and receive a response of a code for that amount to display to customers instantly, with the only delay being what you set as how many BTC confirmations you desire to see before accepting BTC payment being complete.

so work out how much above or below gox prices you can easily sell your BTC for you to get FIAT ASAP to refill your reserves with guaranteed 0 delay. add on a couple % for your own profit, and thats the fee/ mark-up price you would display to customers. (volume discounts available so you could sell at MTGOX price and make your % profit from the volume discount)

the pseudocode for how it works is:
$5k in amazon waiting (reserve/float)
(cleintscreen)customer pays you BTC to a disposable address and gets a "waiting for confirmation 1 confirmation" screen
(serverside)blockchain shows BTC payment received.
(serverside)sends an API command to amazon corporate account with amount requested
(serverside)receive code response.
(cleintscreen)show to customer "payment received heres your code"

all ud then do is sell your BTC else where to receive your FIAT to refill your corporate client account reserve.

excuse the ££ but im from the UK, its the same system across the world from what i seen. but here is the link to the UK service if you want to start up a UK business (whoever is reading this)

Curious how a proper lady on a street corner would accept payment before getting in bed with someone, though.

The employee carries a phone with Brainwallet bookmarked or a passphrase-to-Bitcoin app, and has memorized her unique passphrase.

When she meets with a john she shows him the QR code and he sends the payment. If she has a madam to vet for her or a pimp to protect her, this person's computer sees the payment and automatically withdraws to a coin mixer before the act even finishes. (Hopefully. Any real man lasts six confirmations.)

After each john, the employee comes up with (or is given) a new passphrase.

In the event that the employee is arrested, there is no cash to seize. A skilled madam might not even meet her employees/clients in person, instead operating anonymously. Trusted clients are granted partial access to her tor-only portfolio. Employees receive local fiat money by dead drop or by mail.

Alternative setup: rely on the john to use Brainwallet himself, so the employee doesn't need a phone. It might be harder to convince a judge that someone who just says "4 curious eye beyond flower" before sex is a prostitute.

Btw my wife helped come up with this. Best. Wife. Ever.

How about a POS device that plugs into common retai systems for accepting BTC.  Have it take BTC and process them through a vendor like BitPay automatically.  Then as far as the retail seller is concern they just received $ and only had to pay 1% for the transaction instead of  3 to 4% for credit cards.

I'd do it if I didn't have so many BTC waiting to be sold already.

If you prepaid before meeting the hooker no one could prove you were having sex for money and its not 2 consenting adults since no physical cash changed hands.

Prepay a Hooker? My understanding was to never trust anyone with your bitcoin and now you have given them to a hooker! You are definitely gonna get screwed here.

I would like to see a direct transfer into my bank account (without inflated transaction costs). Interact Email transfer? Again inflated transaction costs and fees kill me.

As well shipping costs seem to be inflated for bitcoin purchases.
