Recently, someone was posting a similar thread here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1345468.0

The author was pointing to some Japanese cryptographic researchers from which the name Satoshi Nakamoto could be derived from.

Yes, I saw that thread.  Perhaps the person identified there was aware of this research?

In any case, this 1969 article is unique in that it describes a system that has components similar to those that constitute the Bitcoin system:

There is the use of blocks as containers, measured in 10 meter segments (10 min avg), used to trace the flow cars (coins).  The distribution of cars to blocks depends on a Poisson distribution (which follows a poisson process (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poisson_point_process), like what is used in bitcoin). The authors were also concerned about the economic use of memory so that the network flows could be efficiently documented. etc.

Much to think about.

As if this finding needed additional symmetry, the Association for Computing Machinery, in whose journal that 1969 paper on auto traffic flowing in and out of 10-meter blocks of road was published, just this past year awarded it's Turing Award to Whitfield Diffie and Martin E. Hellman for fundamental contributions to modern cryptography.

No, not dyslexic. Didn't know how best to indicate that some letters would need to be flipped flopped (and maybe there's a method to it?).

Side note: I do like the mirrored-palindrome you have going w/ your handle.

I think the mentioning of blocks and this part, " Each arrow indicates the link from one block to the next. " would suggest that he has read this and might have used the concept to define his own theory. The idea that he might have used a article on the Simulation of Traffic Flows in a Network, sound absurd. We will never know, if this might have been a contributing input into his their idea. The likelihood that this might have been a group of people and that one of them have read this article, might be a bit higher. ^smile^

Whatever inspired him or them will remain a secret, but we admire the outcome and that is most important.

Still an illusion. What if Satoshi Nakamoto is a privately encrypted name ,decrypting which gives the name of the Real person.Could just be a possibility.Maybe that Name is just a private key to other clues.Too hypothetical, isn't it ?

I think everyone is reading too much into the name of Satoshi. I do not think it is an anagram.

Most like it is just a random name chosen with no particular meaning to it.

I read the bottom line only
" I do not think they are Satoshi.
Again, I think Satoshi was
inspired by this article in the
same manner he migh thave
been inspired by other people.
"
There maybe lots of people and articles, books etc that inspired Satoshi but these are all assumptions that can only be confirmed if we find real Satoshi, which is impossible

satoshi's inspiration is a new clue, but it is very slow work, if you want one bitcoin in a 2 or 3 months, then you should work fast ,if you depend on satoshi faucets then you can't.but you can say satoshi is a inspiration clue.

Japanese names contain multi-letter syllables when written in English, amazing isn't it?
