The odd thing is i kept the url to walletbit and last i checked it shows the right amount. I just want to know if it is safe to pay yet or not.... I never sent the small amount. I just refreshed the url a bit later and it shows the right amount.

Yeah, I read.
However, bashing customer for their poor service is deplorable. I'm sure this will be remembered.

there is no such thing as a placeholder order, there was only a mistake, which will have to get fixed.

send people who payed the amount they were asked to pay an invoice for the remaining amount and keep their place in line. it is fair. it is not the customers' fault they were presented the wrong amount.  we changed our weekend plans to be here for your sale, we stayed up, we believed in you, we f-5, we are willing to spend, your side screwed up,, do not punish the customer. i do not think i will stay awake for one of your events again. my partial payment proves everything you need. just send invoices for the remaining amount!

Exactly. Not a nice way to handle your customers who made a real effort to be on time. Huge fail from both Avalon and WalletBit -- not any of it our fault. What do you expect, that I pay 1500 dollar while clearly both the store site and walletbit site are fucked up. Small payment should count as a placeholder and I want to know where I can send the rest of my money.

By that logic so If the bug was not $1, but $10000 you guys would've still paid?

Again: there's no such thing as placeholder order

It was a bug and it will be refunded, and orders will open again in the future for those who did not manage to place an proper order.

this is final.

All I can say is that this is Bitcoin. I don't believe it until I see six confirmations.

UPDATE: Successful full payment for one unit: http://imgur.com/JaJHnBM

[EDIT] Associated deposit transaction (to walletbit, NOT avalon): http://blockchain.info/tx/6752cc38791f64d959445bcdd471c640ecb25f3ef084cbfa47c2a8cd06690ee7

Clicking through to my order details in my walletbit history, I found the address and transaction of my payment to Avalon after my deposit transaction:

Address: http://blockchain.info/address/18QRSo26TqPZtH1guLfwNXZ2EfZpe7y8Ks
txid: http://blockchain.info/tx/8fc828379a5a48da18127910c5c98fdd9e3d0a8a69789ac11db1f9de016bc5ad

The receiving address has received $ 57,260.47, starting with what are probably test transactions on January 31st:

http://blockchain.info/address/18QRSo26TqPZtH1guLfwNXZ2EfZpe7y8Ks?sort=1

And has a final balance of $ 54,757.49.

My guess is that 88 is a reference to the new year, this being the CNY batch, and the last two digits are serial. So maybe you are 8 ahead of me?

88XX is the number of the Walletbit and it is unknown what effect does it have on the queue. I have 8817 and 8855. I mean, what's batch number assigned you the Avalon store.

If that is the only address getting money avalon has to be upset they do not have their cash goal in hand.

Earlier I paid the lower amount of BC 0.21154464 that will probably be refunded:

Update: After putting a support ticket on http://support.avalon-asic.com/ yesterday, I just got a very nice reply:
Hi Ben,

This is correct, your order appear in our system just fine.

So using the link to walletbit in my browser history, paying the full amount and putting a support ticket on http://support.avalon-asic.com/ worked out for me :-), but use your own judgement before doing the same !!

I am selling in stock OneStringMiner boards, based on the Bitfury chips. Have a look here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=495536.0
