So, FPGA´s seem to be useless for LTC. GPU´s aren´t that efficient either AFAIK. So only CPU´s left?

What do you recommend? Or with what are mining LTC?

Thanks!

Your information is not correct. GPU's are in fact the best hardware you can purchase to mine LTC, until something better comes along.

GPU for now, with Reaper AFAIK. Until Litecoin has gained significant traction, no FPGA's and ASIC's will be available atm.

Here is a thread that might be of help to you:

You can try the 890FXA-GD70 motherboard with either HD Radeon 5970's, 6990's, or 7970's.

Buy some pci-e extender cables so you can use all 5 pcie slots on the motherboard.

Let me know if you have any questions.

You can use cgminer for mining LTC. reaper is a bit unstable. Here is the link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=28402.0

Would you recommend mining LTC on a 3 years old MacBook Pro? How would you do it?

I wouldn't recommend it. The amount of LTC you would mine from a CPU at this point would be very little per day.

Most people use high end video cards with GPUs to get Litecoins mined.

I actually have the 990FXA-UD3 running here...with a damn 660 GTX TI (decided for the Nvidia instead for the 7950 or 5970 can´t recall right now, for the same price as the 660, just because of DirectX 11.1 support...). All before I got into mining.
Someone wanna trade against a Radeon 7970 (would pay the difference of about 100 bucks). Still got about 18months warranty here in Germany...
Also got 2 GT 9600 TI laying around...

Don´t think someone will answer, but it´s worth a try...

Hi, is the reaper still the best hardware for mining Litecoin? Any FPGA or ASIC hardware available currently?
