Palatas - The thing is, a website is much more accessible to the world, than a downloadable playstore. Let me know if I am misunderstanding your idea here.
Watashi - can also contribute to the open source question here.
Emerge - very neat! DM me and we can chat some more.
Some notes: I am pretty open about this, I just want to build a big community - and that is where my strength is.
Open source is one way to do it, but I feel that if I put together the proper team that is centralized the operations of the site will be much smoother, efficient, and we can collaborate on promotion of the website.
I know the sentiment of the industry is open-source, non-revenue generating, etc..and I am not against that route, but I see downsides to that when it comes to having a website that is simply a hub or a listing site. For DaPP creation or platform building, open source is great.
Thoughts? Before jumping in to this I want to sit back and let a few ideas simmer in my head.
My skill set: Operations, management, partnerships, community building, branding, ideas. I am a technical person - I understand programming and architecture, but if you sit me down in front of a blank screen and ask me to create something, this is not where I excel.
Complimentary skillset that I need: Reliable programmer(s)/technical people to build and keep the site running.
Thanks,
Mike
