Somewhere I read that more than 25% of the trans-genders are HIV positive. If that is true, then it is not a lifestyle that we should be promoting. Normal HIV prevalence is around 0.025%, which means that their prevalence is a thousand times higher.

The HIV prevalence among the transgenders is even higher than the gays and lesbians, due to their practice of having multiple sexual partners, preference for anal sex, and the refusal to use condoms. A lot many of them tend to me injecting drug users as well.

Well, then it's their fault but who cares? People drink and drive all the time killing thousands each year and we don't call them mentally ill. People do all kind of stupid and bad things but it doesn't mean they are insane.

Then whom do you call insane? These people know that they have a very high prevalence of HIV. And even then they continue to have unprotected sex with multiple partners. If this is not their fault, then whose fault is it?

transgenders a man behaving differently or disagreeing with his sex, who wants to become a woman, by dissecting himself or operating himself like a woman.
In my country there are transgenders they will be unfamiliar and many hate them.
that's what I know

My Jaw dropped from reading all these hate, uninformed and homophobic comments.
There are sooo many other things to worry about in this world than discussing if transgender people are mentally ill individuals or if they should be accepted..I mean nobody should be discusing if or how they should be accepted, they should and period, they are fellow humans not harming anybody and not breaking any laws so thats enough for me to go ahead and say yes I accept them and encourage them to live their life the way they want as we all do;

I'm not exactly supportive of people getting major surgical alterations because I have the biased idea that people should learn to accept the bodies they were born with. In my mind sex is determined simply by what organs are present, I think 'gender identity' is largely an artificial construct, as for most people I think it is superseded by individual personality.
For instance I don't see myself as 'a male' I see myself as me who has a biologically male body. There is just too much variation in body types and personalities for me to see any specific combination as 'correct', but if someone simply cannot live with the body they were given then I guess I don't mind surgery, just advise against it.

I think it's something that shouldn't be judged by the opinions of other people but by your own heart.
Personally, I'm bi, so I will grant you that I'm already not in the majority because I don't find either standard arrangement yucky (quite the opposite, in fact), and I'm female so it's more socially acceptable for me to be in a non hetero-normative relationship. So I can't say I have as much riding on my answers as most of the people (guys mainly) here, but I would definitely date a transgendered person.
Heck, if we consider the term "gender" as meaning compliance with the classic long hair and dresses versus frat boy, and "transgender" as noncompliance with those standards (which is in fact what the term gender means... societal roles of people biologically sexed one way or the other), then there is a certain set of "transgender" lesbian women who dress and act like gentlemen that I find extremely attractive.
I think it's interesting how many people are willing to be friends with a transgendered person but not date them. Yes, the "acceptable company" bar is much lower for friends than it is life partner no matter what issue we're talking about, but I find the contrast between the "HELL NO" and "It might be awkward at first but I think I would get over it" average response to the two questions is an intriguing dichotomy. If the answer to the second is true, why can't it be the same for the first?

In my country transgenders are treated like animals. Their families give them up and they are raised by groups of transgenders living together, who raise them as their own. They are forced to beg, dance or sell their bodies in order to earn a living. They are looked down upon by the society because of their profession, but it's the society itself who has left them no choice. They are normally bullied, beaten and raped. In spite all of this they manage to put a smile on their face and live their life. In our society they are referred to as 'khawajasira' or 'khusra'. They have no job opportunities and until recently they were not even recognized as legal citizens. A lot of them have been fighting for their rights and they have succeeded to some extent, but honestly their is a long way to go.

I guess that you are from India? You should probably say that in your post, so we know what you're talking about. I heard about these people when I was in India. Actually, I saw some of them. We were told that they are referred to as the third gender. We heard that they are considered to be in their own class. People told us that sometimes they come to weddings and the people think it can be a curse for them to be there. To get them to leave they pay them money. It's really sad that they are so oppressed. It's nice that they usually group together, so they have a community. I don't think that happens in all countries.

I respect LGBT's because they are also human as a matter of fact I do have some friends from those group and they are all nice people I cannot say bad things to them because they are all nice.. however when it comes to bible, quran etc they have no room on it. they are also created by God but they are not included in it even a single verse.

The LGBT community remains as one of the country's minority sectors today. Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people often face advantages in hired for jobs, acquiring rights for civil marriage, and even in starting up personal businesses. most non-heterosexual also have a higher rate of suicide and suicide ideation compared to non-homosexuals. According to an international research. 10% of the world's population are theoretically part of the LGBT community, out or not including 12 million Filipino that may experience discrimination based on who they are. this has led to the rise of the cause for LGBT right, defined as the right to equality and non-discrimination.

Numerous transgender individuals are the objectives of detest crimes. They are likewise the casualties of unpretentious segregation—which incorporates everything from looks or glares of dissatisfaction or distress to intrusive inquiries regarding their body parts. We need to acknowledge them on what or their identity since they should be dealt with as human. They can't direct what their hearts and mind wants. so regard them as long as they are great resident and no in spite of law.
The individuals who encounter sex dysphoria are not really attempting to win a culture war. They have to realize that "even while we may not concur with them" Christians cherish them, are there for them, are prepared to hear them out and look to comprehend the agony they are confronting, and profoundly want what is best for them. Empathy and poise for dysphoric people isn't in strain with contradicting transgender law as a social development.

All is good until someone forces me to tolerate it and brings his sexual life on the street. It should be a private thing for everyone.

Basically I can't figure out why there are transgenders. But I will respect their choice because we don't know exactly why they chose that way. There must be certain factors why they chose it. This is a psychological factor, a hormone disorder or other factor. At least mutual respect will make this world more peaceful and beautiful. But indeed not everyone on this earth can be open minded.

I do not discriminate against them, but some people do not like them, and discriminate against them. I find bisexual, gay or les are normal as long as they live up to their true personality is ddowcj. I support them if they do not overdo it.

This is truly appalling. It will be interesting to know which country that is. I am confident that it is not peculiar to that part of the world only. People generally tend to act very untoward to people of different belief or orientation from them. This is really sad. But I must say that personally I am totally against the idea of transgenderism amidst others. I believe it will only lead to the collapse of society. But this will never lead me to  show hostile behaviour to them. They actually need our help and love.
