Originally announced to be released Q2 2013 inline with the launch of Haswell (Intel's latest offering) both AMD and Nvidia have both decided to postpone their release until at least October.

Lets find their CEO and troll his Google+ page! And after that, we'll threaten to sue!

Looking at the structure of new GPUs, they are not going to be a huge difference, its more of a cosmetic upgrade if you ask me, similar to 5->6 series transition. Basicly those who have 7950/7970 will probably have to spend more to upgrade than the real performance upgrade.

I will only pre-order if refunds are a non-option.

They most likely wont be worth the upgrade for 7 series users, seems theres nothing new there.

Not an upgrade? Have you even seen the leaked stats.for the 88xx series? ~25% gains across the board even with better power management.

Do you really believe there is any true competition between AMD, Intel and Nvidia ?

Yes I have seen them. Power draw will like 5% less. 7950 1792 shaders -> 8x50 2048 shaders (will be same as 7970 now). This actually means the following. For a performance increase of roughly 20% (thats higher clock included), you have to sell your 7950 for like 200 euro, and spend roughly 320 euro for a new card. Its 60% more money, for 20% increase. Not worth it if you ask me. Same situation with 7970, you will have a 30% increase there, but have to sell your card for 270 euro, and buy new one for 450 euro ... So for a gamer it might be an upgrade, for us? Not worth the money

When is upgrading a current-gen top-off-the-line GPU to the next-gen top-of-the-line card ever worth it? The same could have been said for the 6970 to the 7970, or the 580 to the 680. Seriously, everyone knows it's a giant waste of money, but people will do it anyways. Me? I'm sticking with my 7970GHz for a good long time, but I'm cheap like that. Now if my Brother decided to build a nice expensive gaming rig, I bet he would spring for a nice 8xxx card.
