How to teach someone about Bitcoin

I think you should go to some YouTube videos on bitcoin to show them how to set up a bitcoin wallet and explain it in general terms at first. I think explaining the overall concept and then setting up a wallet it a good start.

I think if explaining the material at the beginning of the tutorial is less effective, because I think people would quickly get bored and not interested in it. I think if we do a few videos on youtube by introducing the primacy of bitcoin, as rising prices could increase, bitcoin future bitcoin, or promising investments for the future

Its always good to keep it simple as if we focus on technical aspects of bitcoin then it can complicate things at initial stage, so its important to start from primary things.

don't even get into technical stuff about bitcoin, especially if you can't explain them plain and simple. i see people talking about bitcoin and actually complicating it more than it really is by talking about mining and saying all kinds of weird stuff.
i mean when you want to tell someone about credit cards you don't tell them about the internal parts of the card and how it works or the atm machine so why say anything about bitcoin's.

Documentary will surely help users to learn and know much about BTC as like getting explanation from users. Few movies had shown the BTC transaction. If users look at those movies and go through documentaries relating to BTC will know something about it without along with  others help.  .

thoguh if the person is not into bitcoins then i doubt that he would like to watch such documentaries as it would be really boring for them in my opinion, thoguh thats just my ideas

i think i would tell them that its really good to invest into bitcoins because it would allow them to make a lot of profit without any efforts in my opinion, though thats just my guesses

explain that bitcoin is a payment as well as PayPal and credit cards. give-step explanations. make sure they do not bother when you are in and of itself.

It is better if you are going to say that bitcoin is better than paypal. And it is a good alternative for paypal. Just explain brief and concise.
Like saying literally is a currency by itself.
And you can use it online for purchasing things to selected merchants.

The average person doesn't care about decentralization, they just want fast and cheap payments. Unfortunately the average person is too stupid to see the importance of Bitcoin, so I say forget about telling them about Bitcoin until Lightning is operative. Then when they see the speed and cheap payments they will all come.

You are right they doesn't really care about it. Not just the cheap payments and fast transaction are the things that you are going to tell them.
But also that it is a real money.
And they can earn it buy doing some online task.

Depends on the interest of a person on the approach you'd take to explain what bitcoin is.

Knowing the basics is good enough. I don't think a person needs to be schooled in everything and has to understand everything in order to use it.

I ride a car, but have like a 5% idea of whats going on under the hood. Can change my own oil and basic stuff and thats good enough for me. You can show them several articles explaining what bitcoin is, after you showed them what it is set up a wallet for them. You can send them a small amount for them to play around with. This will usually show them what it is. If they still don't know what it is show them some YouTube videos and more articles.

Yeah, give reference to people who do not understand about this forum in the bitcoin is very good and wise. But they should still be guided so that they really understand about the bitcoin and not have thought much of the mindset that everyone using bitcoin

For me you can just show them a video or something to teach them about it, I think that is a good method to really let them see how its working. And show to them where you get bitcoin

Bitcoin should not let us do the marketing alone. Although word of mouth is the best kind of advertising, there must still be a conscious effort from the guys at bitcoin to further introduce bitcoin to a wider audience. If they can do that on a large scale effectively, I am sure more people would be inclined to try what bitcoin has to offer.

You need to share him ideas how to use and what bitcoin use tell him about history of bitcoin I think he will totally love bitcoin as we do if he know more about bitcoin.
