I have OC Gigabyte 3 fan 2GB 7970 GFX card.

How do i under volt it. As of now i am running it at 1140MHz core clock and 685Mhz mem clock. How to reduce the core voltage to less than 1170mv??

I have tried in CG miner but it didnt work. I am a bit naive to this like some one to explain in detail on how to undervolt my card?

Thanks
Pradeep

Ugh I hate Trixx. I (and a lot of other people on here) use MSI AB. Set unofficcial overclocking = 2, force constant voltage, and undervolt. That's what I do with my Gigabyte 7970.

Just copy & paste this in your config:

[ATIADLHAL]
EnableUnofficialOverclocking   = 1
UnofficialOverclockingEULA   = I confirm that I am aware of unofficial overclocking limitations and fully understand that MSI will not provide me any support on it
UnofficialOverclockingMode   = 2
AccessibilityCheckingPeriod   = 0

This has the same effect.....I think  Wink

First of all, when did you buy the card? Older gigabytes had the ability to change voltage, newer don't.  I have a few of both. Newer run on 1.170V, and could do 1150 smoothly, but you have the keep the room cool. And install GPU-Z to be sure Afterburner is not lieing to you Smiley. Always double check

hmm I tryed this and i did get my mem clock down to 685 but then closed and restarted, slider bar still down to min..then i upgraded my msi afterburner to lastest version...could lower mem clock down to 345 but on the readout is still says 685 Sad

I have an older one, the model that was factory OC'd to 1100MHz, but I could push it to 1200MHz no problem. However, that factory OC also came with a factory 1.25V, so undervolting makes a huge diff on my card. Mine didn't work until I set the "Force constant voltage" option.

I don't know about the newer cards, so you're prolly right.

Try EnableUnofficialOverclocking = 2 instead of 1.

Go into the MSI AB folder, and delete the files in the "Profiles" folder.
