According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

Trade for what?  Are you trying to exchange for fiat?  Are you trying to trade for altcoins?  What you are trading for matters.

If you're trading for altcoins there is Bittrex, Poloniex, C-Cex, YoBit... If you're trading for fiat you should use the ones --Encrypted-- listed.

If you are looking to trade bitcoin against altcoins then Bittrex is a decent enough exchange with a good volume, Poloniex offers you a few more advanced features and then you have Yobit which I find is quite messy but it is good for coins that are just released.

These are just a few but if you are looking to trade just bitcoin against fiat then there are others which --Encrypted-- mentions.

There are many  exchanges to trade bitcoin with USD and other currencies. Bittrex.com is a small exchange.
