Can works this rig: 2 R9 290 and 1 R9 280,h81 pro btc and ssd 64 gb with a Corsair RMX1000 80 Plus Gold 1000W Modular?, Any problem with the alimentation?

It will work. But I think the 64 SSD might be a little too small. The Windows 8.1 will consume about 16 GB. You need about 12 GB for the page file. The DAG will also use some space.

64 GB SSD is ok imo, I use 60GB on all of my rigs and whenever I need some extra space I just clear old DAG files.

i bought a 120giga sandisk for cheap only 45 euro, it was not worth to buy a ssd with les capacity, so see on amazon maybe you can find a good deal

64 GB hard disk is the minimum you need for hashing ethereum with Windows. 32 GB is definitely not enough.

I'd just buy a 120-256GB SSD, if this will be your only rig. If you ever decide to stop mining and want to some components for your general-use desktop, a larger SSD will be of greater use to you than a 64GB one.

SSD is a waste on a mining rig, but if you can get a 60GB+ one for the same price as a small HD might as well.

 That PS is going to be VERY VERY MARGINAL at best with a pair of R9 290 (commonly soak 300+ watts EACH) AND a R9 280 (close to 200 watts I think) on it - I'd go with at least a 1200.

 Keep in mind that the MB/CPU/RAM/HD or SSD/fans all eat power too - commonly 100 watts sometimes more depending largely on the specific CPU and how many/type of fan(s) you need.


 I'm not sure what you mean by "alimentation" - that seems to be a Commonwealth or British specific term?

I think that it can work, 290 have 275 W of tdp and 280 have 200 W of tdp, if you sum this it give 750 W and you ghave a plus gold 1000W psu

64GB should be enough but it's better to go with 120 and above

I use 64GB ssd but recommend 120GB.
My rig only has 5GB free space because of virtual memory.

On mining hash-rate, it'd have absolutely ZERO effect.

On power consumption, SSD would consume like only 3-5 watts less.

I'd never buy SSD for a mining rig though (wouldn't like to waste off my money).

 I'm not talking TDP, I'm talking REAL WORLD power draw of my existing R9 290 and R9 280x cards.

 My "big rig" triple R9 290 pulled over 1000 watts at the wall when it was a pure ETH rig, using a TITANIUM power supply and a low-power Sempron 145/MB/small HD setup - and that was AFTER undervolting it via the use of a BIOS from TheStilt.

 I wouldn't trust 2 x 290 and a 280x on a 1000 watt PS for long-term mining - even a GOOD one like an EVGA G2 1000 or a Seasonic X1000 - marginal at best and high probability of lots of crashes when the GPU power draw spikes happen.
 Keep in mind that TDP and actual power draw from a GPU is NOT a constant steady load - it varies some while mining and it DOES see some significant short-term spikes on draw.


 Typical HD might eat 10-15 watts or so at full draw - typical SSD is more like 5 or a bit less.
 NOT a big savings on power usage, and the HD spends a lot of time in a low-power mode so the real savings is even less.

Hi, to give you an example, I have a rig with 3*R9 290 and it draws 900w at the wall...

So, I don't know how much the R9 280 draws at the wall, but I would say 1000W is not enough. So, my advice would to buy an "Add2PSU adapter", and use a small and cheap 450W PSU for one GPU. That's what I do and it works really well

Just like OP, Corsair 1000RMx. 4x290x+i5 mining xmr, ~3.6kH/s, 830w at the wall. Vega guys do closer to 10k with the same amount of power used   .
