I had service with Coinbase but they canceled my account and said I can transfer my remainder to another BTC account...I seem that I can't find another service that does that. Any help is greatly appreciated!
Again, I need to just transfer from one wallet to another bitcoin using a bitcoin address. Do you know of a service that let's you do this vs. me apply to all the services to find out.
Cheers, D

Run a SPV wallet and send the BTC there? I'm not sure why you would want to use a "service" for this in the first place?

I advise you to stop using web services as your primary wallet. download a wallet from this page and they will generate addresses for you to use. transfer your bitcoins there. don't choose bitcoin core if you don't want to download 70GB of data. the best spv wallets (wallets that doesn't need you to download the whole blockchain) in my opinion are electrum and multibit wallet.

Just create a new address in desktop wallets like Electrum or MultiBit. Enter this address in the CoinBase page and enter ok. After confirmations, your Bitcoins stored in the Coinbase wallet would be transferred to Your new address.
This has happened to me also. They don't mention the reason !

if you are looking for a "web wallet" i suggest blockchain.info it is nothing like Coinbase and they can never block your account because wallet is created on your browser and gets encrypted-derypted in your browser too and they are just holding it on their servers.
but remember that web wallets are risky because you can get hacked and lose your bitcoins easily.

What if they shutdown the servers? Just stop using web wallets and get something like Electrum or MultiBit if you don't want to download the blockchain.

If you fear to not use heavy wallets such as Core that takes such huge space, then go for multibit, use it for light transactions as it's the best alternative out there...

If you want only an address to move your funds to until you decide what new wallet you will use, you can generate a paper wallet from bitaddress and when you want to spend from it just use mycelium smartphone wallet. and If you are looking for a web wallet and you choose to use blockchain.info, I recommend you to backup your private keys so you have always access to your addresses even when the site is down

https://blockchain.info/ is the best web wallet service. But it's best to keep your coins on your own wallet on your own machine so you have complete control over them. electrum is light weight I just run core because i have the hard drive space.

It does sound very newbie. don't you click any link given to you by users who pmed you for they might have another motif ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) this is probably your best option so you won't have to worry if a web wallet will again close your account. an easy way to do that is: 1: install electrum wallet. 2: transfert your bitcoins on it. super easy. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FizaqfQj.gif&t=663&c=LZAeHNQpB1ch_w)

In my opinion you don't want to download the blockchain, so you can use blockchain.info as Web wallet. If you want more security then you can use Brainwallet in offline mode. Always use a paper wallet as backup.

Blockchain wallet is a no-no from me I think you should recommend OP another web wallet that works instead of Blockchain ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Well, that's what happens when you choose coinbase as wallet, they can close your account for any reason, sometimes even without a reason ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) Electrum is a good offline wallet without have to downloading the whole blockchain from scratch OP can transfer his BTC out of there to his electrum and everything's good ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) It does sound very newbie. don't you click any link given to you by users who pmed you for they might have another motif ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) this is probably your best option so you won't have to worry if a web wallet will again close your account. Well, the problem is Coinbase loves to close their customer's account randomly ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) I used to had their account and one day it got closed, I haven't opened the account in months with no incoming tx and it got closed ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Ridiculous ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif)

I never heard about any problems with this wallet, while I heard that people are being banned from Xapo or Coinbase before. Apart from the fact that this is still web service and can be closed at any time, stop working for some reason etc. I don't see any more flaws than others web wallets have. And since we can run Bitcoin Core in prune mode I think this option should be considered - but AFAIK you have to download whole blockchain for the first time, wallet will synchronize and then old data will be deleted.

I've had bad experience with them, that's all My wallet got hacked and the hacker stole all of my fund from there, just for clarification my pc is clean from malware or something similar to that, and I always access my blockchain wallet from my bookmarks, so no way I can be a phishing victim here even with 2FA enabled they still managed to gain access to my 2nd wallet I'm just learning from my experience here ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) That's why I recommend people to use Desktop wallet to ensure their safety and if they still want to use online wallet then don't use Blockchain wallet ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) I never had any trouble with Xapo, though I don't know about anyone else on this forum the only downside is that their support is nonexistent ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif)
