If I have 10 million, I am not loosing my time looking for more money, enjoy the life. If you still wants to invest, try help a good start-up.

10% ($1 million) would be more than enough. If Bitcoin takes off you'd be richer than Bill Gates (which in itself might be risky - you'd want to take utmost privacy precautions, divide up the wallets in random amounts, tell no one about your holdings, and be very careful what you buy), and if not you'd still have $9 million.

Somehow a future where Voorhees and Ver (and Satoshi, etc.) are richer than Bill Gates doesn't seem half bad.

5% now, 5% a couple years from now.  50% into real estate (without leveraging) for solid income, and the other 40% into stocks and mutual funds.

Gonna have to agree with this.  I'd invest in myself so I never had to worry about money again, then I would invest the rest in Bitcoin just to mess with the banks  Grin  I'd use the bitcoin to fund whatever projects I thought were good, tho.  Mostly in education, since the great nation of murricuh doesn't want to do it.

7 million in btc. 1 million invested in precious metals and security of said metals, 1 million in property assets, and keep the rest in cash for liquidity purposes.

I don't need more than 1 million to be set for life anyway. Hell, I would trip balls if I got 10k dumped in my lap.

FAP Turbo 2.0, the FOREX trading robot which also trades bitcoin!

I had to link it because I love the name. Seriously, that is the real name.

200k$ (2%)
I would buy and forget, checking back the investment in a few years.

There is no need to risk more, but if you have that kind of capital you already know that. One thing is earning a lot, another one is not losing...

My anger against what is wrong in the Bitcoin community is productive:
Bitcointa.lk - Replace "Bitcointalk.org" with "Bitcointa.lk" in this url to see how this page looks like on a proper forum (Announcement Thread)
Hashfast.org - Wiki for screwed customers

10% but I'd make sure it was backed up offline so it couldn't get stolen easily.

Then I'd invest the rest in gold, silver oil and anything else that will retain its value.

I'd invest $500.000 in BTC. Would invest the rest in other things.

That's stupid. US dollars are extremely vulnerable to loss of value. If you had 10 million of them, you'd be a total fool not to diversify in at least 4 places with at least 60% of it.

use 1mil to drop price to single digits by speeding up some panic dip with several 10k sell orders, then invest the other 9mil before price recovers.

Except, that's probably been tried before and if someone with the means, recognizes someone is trying to do that, they will buy it up and screw up your plan. By looking at the chart, I feel it has been tried before.

Definitely, there are risks. But if you do it at the right moment of panic, after some negative event probably, this could just work

I see Bitcoin as a trading market -- that's not really the same thing as investment. That said, how many coins I hold depends heavily on the circumstances and changes over time. When I first heard of Bitcoin, or at the end of the big bust, I'd have bought with a substantial fraction. But right now... well, if I had no Bitcoins whatsoever I'd get a few, just in case Bitcoin becomes huge.

Ultimately, there's no meaningful "horde forever" strategy. For any given circumstances, there's a price at which it might be better to sell a few. Since these depend on a lot of things, including the current personal situation, there's no easy answer.

There's always the Kelly Criterion though -- I know I name it a lot -- which makes it pretty clear that even with extraordinary skills in prediction, it's a bad idea to bet a large fraction on a single thing. "Don't put all your eggs in one basket" is simply true on the long run.

really, nobody said how they would invest in bitcoin ?

Why not ask,: "If you had 10m$ to invest into bitcoin how would you do it. ?"

Buying 10m of BTC in one go or or close is one of the most stupid thing to consider.

How about:
  * Starting a BTC mining ASIC company and keeping however much hardware you want.

  *  Investing into BTC related business,

  *  Building a bitcoin related business

  *  Donating to the foundation

  *  Buying publicity

ianbakewell did.......   and I actually agreed. I'd probably invest 1.5 mil in bitcoins  1.5 mil in development of a bitcoin business and I would invest another 1mill for every significant price drop. If it drops to 20... 1 mil. if it drops to 15.. another 1 mill. or something like that
