Big companies such as Google, Amazon or Steam don't accept paypal anymore.

People can still purchase apps and digital content on Google Play using Paypal payment method from their Google account.

But only depends on the supported country and my country is not listed there lol.
Same is the case with my country and hence I asked a friend to buy an app for me with his credits.

@OP: PayPal is the most used payment option these days and it has its own store from where we can purchase any stuff. Bestbuy also has introduced it as a payment option. Walmart too accepts PP payments.

I have never used paypal, don't intend to do it in future too and frankly don't understand how companies are accepting it with its major flaws such as cashback, which one can't be protected against if done using stolen credit cards.

The only reason I'd use it if there were no other payment options available and if I am selling something, would never want to be at the receiving end of it.

BTW, this question belongs in service discussion, if not off-topic. (Not reporting it though because no one cares.)

you mean ChargeBack, cashback is something else. and i don't think companies especially the big ones have any trouble with it otherwise they would have removed the method from their payment page.

the trouble is for the regular sellers who will be screwed if they get a chargeback and can never win the argument.

I think there are still a lot out there. But most are at credit cards. I guess you are looking always at Amazon and they are not affiliated by Paypal. Ebay is and there are lots of items there that are for sale.

You can go here

So many people buy stuff with Paypal these days. Paypal is just easy to work with and easy to get. With Paypal you can pay at almost every online webshops that exists today. Even if it is in a another country you can still pay with Paypal.

I mostly use it to pay for things like Spotify, games on Steam, Pokerstars etc. If any of these businesses accepted Bitcoin, I would be using that instead.

Let's be honest, there is a small repulsion from the btc community towards btc paypal because of the refunds,... But, let's be honest a second time, Paypal is just an easy way to pay with online. But I'm having trouble finding some decent markets/sites/services that still accepts paypal.

So yea, my question: where do you guys still use paypal nowadays?
I am in SEO,domaining and website selling business and I usually get all my payments with PayPal because most of the people still prefer it.Also all big ad networks support PayPal and pay with it

Yes Paypal is just so handy unlike Bitcoin you can pay everywhere with Paypal. With bitcoin you cannot I hope that this will change in the future.

Honestly I rarely use PayPal as a payment, but usually I use it on eBay cuz the seller there just accept PayPal as the payment.
I think there are many sites that accept paypal as a payment option. I still often see the paypal logo on top of their site. it proves they still accept paypal. I often see it on various sites, including many sellers on ebay. still using paypal for the system

PayPal is one of the oldest method of payments online, while honestly bitcoin is just at it's initial stage, even after 8 years of it's release. You can't just compare PayPal right now with bitcoin, PayPal of course has much more online area covered right now.

I am using PayPal a lot more for online purchases but if I can find a nice discount on goods sold for Bitcoins I would pretty much jump on the deal in a heartbeat. Sadly most of the big retailers don't offer anything for Bitcoin during Black Friday and Xmas season in my country.

I am really surprised that you have trouble finding merchants accepting paypal. almost all the merchants I have came across use paypal, on the opposite it's hard for me to find someone who doesn't accept paypal. And to be honest not many people know about the paypal chargeback and all the everyday people never bother to chargeback, its just there scammers of this forum.

Sure a lot of paypal threads active at the moment, almost like a campaign for it. Grin
I kid but hopefully we see hardly any paypal threads in the future,it would mean more people are using bitcoin in easier ways.

Ebay strongly supports the system of paypal. they use the checkout process using paypal. althought you pay using a credit card. it will be processed with paypal
so if you want to shop on ebay you have to use paypal
