I agree.  The smart way to play gambling is to have control of your self, control of your bet, control of your emotion and control of your bankroll.  You should also have track of time and can at least know your statistics while playing.

We can Control everything except for luck. When we have control over everything, it will not help us to win some money however it will help us not to lose alot. When it comes to gambling I must be a smart player.Because if I don't do it  the needs of my family will not provide.

Of course gambling is a method of wasteful spending but indeed that depends on the discretion of the player and not others. To bet everything with just a single bet is not recommendable. I don't think it's a smart way of gambling because it's like an all in play. I agree a 2.00 odd is better than 1.01, because of the duration of bets plus the chance to lose.  Anyway aside from odds, I think the smart way to play gambling is to be able to quit at the right time.  Like when we are already winning, probably 50% of the bankroll, it is best to call it a day since we might lose the winnings if we try to aim for more.
