How are you sure that bitcoin is dead for sure? Isn't this the exact same thing that everyone was saying last year that bitcoin was dead right before the market started bulling? So why would we believe that bitcoin is dead this time around? Surely you did not expect that the price of bitcoin was going to stay high forever or keep going up even

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

We might not be happy with the direction bitcoin developers are taking use. But it is safe to say that bitcoin is even remotely close to dying.
It won't happen, not with the  market cap we achieved. The only problem of bitcoin for now is the solution to the block size scaling problem.
This status of affairs is already attracting some anxiety and it is toxic to even talk about it. Other than that we are fine as a community.
And the are spreading this feelings to others. The feelings of discouragement. Well, hopefully people will not get into this feeling. Let us all be optimistic guys.

Being optimistic doesn't help.  Be factual.  Bitcoin is going down. Blockstream fucked up the program.  Gonna be hard to get it back on track.  Maybe raise the block size finally?

Large groups of well paid, organized, funded professionals with clear objectives and good management - (like R3, hyperledger, ethereum, others) are sure making those Core programmers look like the silly little whiny bitches that they are.  Core is going NOWHERE and getting there pretty damn fast.  Meanwhile, very sophisticated advance is being done every day in other part of crypto/blockchain.

This is 100% the end of bitcoin as we know it.  Good thing too.  This 'open source', 'no leadership', 'no organization' thing was always a load of bullshit.
Bitcoin it's not dead, the bitcoin may drop and it goes down, but it depends on the demand, many countries still use bitcoin, and not just the bitcoin drops, almost all the currency dropped, it's because bitcoin also drops.

In fact, bitcoin "died" dozens of times. He was dying and reborn again. So it works. This is a bubble that is inflated and deflated many times in a row. In order to every day to become more and more. Until then it will fill all the beats that must be filled.

In my opinion, we should not believe that bitcoin is dead if the market is still a bitcoin price movement. Bitcoin still leads the crypto currency market even though the price is fluctuating downward. But, bitcoin still exists. I am convinced that it is unlikely that bitcoin is completely lost. The bitcoin development team must have prepared various plans to fix bitcoin according to renewable technology so bitcoin gets the trust of the community as it once was. Besides that, if bitcoin is really dead then there will be no mention of bitcoin but until now various media still preach and monitor bitcoin.

I think that you should not worry about this. the course of bitcoin is corrected and, despite the fact that many times he was credited with death, he still lives and continues to be the king of the crypto-currency. After a decline in the course, growth should necessarily follow. In addition, the issue of bitcoins is declining, since about 14 million out of 21 have already been mined, so its value will only increase.

i think its too soon if we say that bitcoin is dead right now, because we're not just experiencing the down of bitcoin just for now, we have so many times facing the situation like this and at the end of the time, the price of bitcoin is rising up again. So, i think the price of bitcoin will slowly recovery soon.

Nothing has changed. In 2016 people were in panic, the same goes with 2017\18. It makes me laugh. And the most interesting thing is that Bitcoin is not only alive, but still in top and number one. Just a nice picture that rumors are just rumors.

I agree, should the experience of the past years be inspired. things like this have often happened why there are still and many people panicked then sell their assets. and when bitcoin prices start to rise everyone who sells their assets sorry, hope you are not part of them.

"The horse will always be, and the car is just a bizarre novelty" - so in 1903 the president of one bank answered Henry Ford's lawyer on an offer to invest in a car company.
After 80 years, American physicist, engineer and inventor Marty Cooper predicted: Cell phones will never replace local wired systems.
And now, 30 years later, new "experts" and "analysts" have appeared, who are burying the latest Bitcoin technology.
Each breakthrough technology attracts its haters and skeptics. Some of them just do not understand, others do not want to understand, and some refuse to understand in their own mercenary interests.

This thread is giving me hope to HODL. This guy thought BTC is dead in 2016 july but we all know what happened after. Now we are in the same situation and people are saying BTC is dead and done for good. But I am sure it will bounce back again like it did in the past  Smiley so fingers crossed

too soon? It has been written in 2016, mate Smiley

However, there is merit to those words of 2016: bitcoin has since gone through a very hard time of late 2017 (with very high transaction fees caused by high demand caused by price increase) and for some reason that I don't understand it was not a wake-up call for its devs (?!)

I think it will take a while to kill bitcoin. It doesnt necessary mean that it will die because its value decreases, no.
