Yes, ups and downs are most common for any commodity,
Blockchain fees are only going up.  Expensive transactions means less use.  Already big projects like Brave Browser that had a micropayments model are totally fucked.  Many other cool micropayments projects are also dead.  Soon the whole thing is dead too.

All this so Blockstream can offer to sell you access to their proprietary high transaction bandwidth Lightning network.  Artificial problem was created so they can sell you an unneeded solution.

The system got mugged.

It might use the Ethereum or other cheaper coins instead. The bitcoin is too expensive at the moment.

Even bitcoin is too expensive right now there is a chance that bitcoin will increase more above 700 to 800 value before end of this year..
Ethereum is have no chance to increase more since that price rigth now is highest price of ethereum.. so better to go in bitcoin since its already tested it many years ago..

..Decision from segwit2x is not Final..

there are still about 3 months remaining in this year so anything can happen with the price and it is sure that the price will increase up to $700 in this year and maybe it increase more higher to a better value for our profit.

it is better for altcoin holder person at trading site .
because with the dowm price of bitcoin the rate pf altcoin increase for a while . but in my opinion rate will increase at its most in month October .

I don't think that is going to help the price of alt coins, because most of the alt coins are just referring to the price of bitcoin. So when the price of bitcoin decreases, then for sure those alt coins who are depending on the price of bitcoin will going to break down their price too. So, it is going to be a bad incident for alt coins too.

Exactly, bitcoin is the foundation in the crypto world and whatever happen with bitcoin will greatly affect the performance of altcoins. But what I see now is that bitcoin has a very good prices and still rising, so that means altcoins are also in progress.

For sure bitcoin is not going to be dead and if that happens for sure other haters who are keep on saying that bitcoin is dead for sure developers of other alt coins too. And if that happened then they are going to be dead too so it is just like they are putting their own body on the pit because they are pushing bitcoin on it.

Just because the price is up a few bucks lately, doesn't mean the Core devs have fixed anything.  Bitcoin is still broken.

I don't know that bitcoin is broken, how come and what are the flaws that you see and other people see that bitcoin is broken?

Well, transaction backlog is a big problem.  Max system throughput at 3 tx/sec is a joke.  We need about 5000/sec.  Fees are very high.  In the beginning, they talked about 'micropayments'  all those applications are dead because now bitcoin has a fee just about the same as Visa swipe fees: $.12.

Blockstream/Core ruined Bitcoin.

Mostly true and very sad. I hope this is soon 'fixed' with SegWit + BS increase. And with that all the politics is gone with it....

Bitcoin is for eternity as long as the 21 mio limit holds and a decent decentralisation + trustlessnes is provided.

Blockstream and devs never live for ever

Cmon guys, stop "killing" bitcoin, every month i am hear from people about new bitcoin clone that will kill his father in short term, but everything they are wrong.

Yeah because these people think that bitcoin will die so quick from a new coin or plan or whatever but what they don't know is that the bitcoin has such a big foundation that it's impossible to just swoop away. It would take hell of alot to kill bitcoin that instantly.

We cant really say that theres  no altcoin could  able  to replace bitcoin because  we wont  know the  future yet but  as we can see on the situation and  issues  there are  lots  of alts  which  are trying  to surpass bitcoin in anyway  but still they have failed  because bitcoins  had already established its pace and  isnt  easy for  it  to be  destroyed soo easily.

Bitcoin is the king of crypto currency and it won't be easy for any altcoin to replace it as bitcoin holds more number of users in compare to other cryptos and people have more faith in it.

So that is the reason behind the payment that blockchain has implemented and I am able to identify that payment. Because way back few months ago we can just send the exact amount to someones bitcoin address. But right now there is an automatic deduction if ever we are going to send it to someone. I don't think this won't be fix either.  Undecided

I m pretty confident that we ve not seen ALL ways to scale yet. Watch out many years to come....

As I have stated numerous times before a lot of the issues altcoins face when trying to start revolves around their community size, and that is one of the biggest impacting variables responsible for issues later on in their lifespan. Bitcoin is strong because it has a big and strong community.

Yeah and the main reason is that it also holds multiple benefits and features with it which is missing in altcoins and that is the reason people will never switch to any other coin from where they are getting limited benefits.

It's all about the trust, people are controlling the value of bitcoins, it has been noted that bitcoin has been in existent for longer years compared to altcoins and it has experience crisis already but still people are trusting bitcoin which makes it a very strong coins now. It will never die again.

Price may fall down in future but it will never disappear and even if it falls down it has an ability to rise again and go to higher price and it has successfully proved it in the past.

Large groups of well paid, organized, funded professionals with clear objectives and good management - (like R3, hyperledger, ethereum, others) are sure making those Core programmers look like the silly little whiny bitches that they are.  Core is going NOWHERE and getting there pretty damn fast.  Meanwhile, very sophisticated advance is being done every day in other part of crypto/blockchain.

This is 100% the end of bitcoin as we know it.  Good thing too.  This 'open source', 'no leadership', 'no organization' thing was always a load of bullshit.

Isn't Core/BS pretty well funded as well? How many sane people here actually think that Core devs consciously sabotage the long term strategic development? Maybe this inner Bitcoin problem is the reason that the "Lindy effect" still seams to work for Bitcoin as a currency relative to other cryptocurrencies but it looks incapable in terms of making Bitcoin strong in opposing incumbent finance that is trying to wear "blockchain disguise"?

Yeah it has always answered its critics by giving some extra ordinary performances in the past by rising again and I think this are the only haters who are spreading negative rumors about bitcoin.

yes in fact bitcoin is becoming more and more strong as time passed as more people are investing their fiat here and therefore it is really becoming more stronger. it is also a fact that the price of bitcoin has the ability to recover its position if its price fell down, as we have a good experience of bitfinex which really drop the price of bitcoin but it again recover its position very soon.

Bitcoin has definitely started to gain the trust from the people now as even after the bitfinex hack people showed their trust in it and continue to put their money in it and that is the reason price recovered very well.
