going to tripple digits they said.. so that's the reason why it is dumping from yobit because something is cooking hope it happens but that's still a big question mark sir, a big diff between the price and popularity. well see.

shitcoin will never replace bitcoin, simply because the money will move on the next shitcoin, for increasing your bitcoin portfolio
now they are dumping for lisk and they will dump again for something else and so on

Uhh, how would ETH do that in the first place? We've seen it recently being pumped and dumped so hard, so why would anyone in their sane state would like to exchange bitcoin for ETH? Dumbness at its finest, I'd say.

I doubt it. Ethereum is an interesting platform, but it is more oriented in businesses than ordinary users.
Smart contracts are irrelevant for most people, so it is not an advantage over Bitcoin if we consider its usability as a pure "payment" system. The only exceptions I can imagine are bitshares-like stable currencies.
The smart contracts functionality can even lead to more severe scalability issues than those we are seing currently in Bitcoin, because transactions will tend to be "heavier". ETH will need probably even larger blocks than BTC.
So in my opinion ETH will succeed but it will not replace a more pure payment system like BTC.

thats true, it has always been happening and it will happen in the future too, i doubt that anything will actually replace bitcoin in the future because its the only good cryptocurrency i believe it would be better if people wouldnt just invest a lot of money in other cryptos because in a long run they will surely not make any good money

Today they had a terrible price, eth price moves very fast and it's more unstable than bitcoin, anyway i doubt that something else than bitcoin will replace bitcoin.

First there was ltc hype, then eth followed, and no matter what next one is going to be, it will end up in the same way. It will tank up and then it is bound to fall down and get annihilated because it's a stupid altcoin. You can't have some alt to replace original version, get real guys.

I am not really convinced if it ever will replace Bitcoin. The mainstream of the people know the name Bitcoin and never heard about Ethereum. Most people here are talking about current prices on exchanges but that is only short term thinking that says nothing for the future.

Was bitcoin dead in 2013 when it went from $250 in April to $76 in july 2016? Price fluctuations are mostly irrelevant. I have both btc and eth and will continue to accumulate both. bitcoin=gold or money eth=oil or gas

ETH may have a place somewhere, sometime. But I'm not seeing how it can replace bitcoin. I guess if I had tons of ETH and I wanted to pump and dump, I'd probably be saying it would replace bitcoin too.

Exactly. Rinse and repeat. Let ETH first deliver something, then we may talk. For now it is all thin air. Quick come and quick go.

That sure bring me back memories.. but yeah most alt coins go to crap real quick. Its only beneficial for those who got large amounts to dump to begin with when the hype did grow.

Bitcoin will always have the first mover advantage + its the most visible cryptocurrency to the mainstream public. Any infrastructure or support will primarily be made for bitcoin first.
