I would put it towards a house deposit Smiley Bricks and mortar...

That's the right decision. The house you deposit might be in the half completion state. Better try counting the 10bitcoins and make the deposit which might be effective.

If you give me 10 BTC i will likely hold the most part of this amount and investing the remaining part in the most profitable trading platform , in trading some altcoins.

Now you have 10 btc, so my advice is for you, you should hold your bitcoins now, no need to investment and trading, because now bitcoins price is growing, its means that if you save bitcoins now you can earn profit automatically. after halving use you should use your bitcoins in trading if you have a skills of trading.
You are true but with halving the profit is not sure, it is also thought that if the demand at that time stopped and everyone started to sell before halving then the price will drop before the halving occur he have to invest in other places also, and holding is also not bad.

Yep! true, if you just sit their holding and waiting for the profits, you might not get the profit and might be loss if everyone are selling more than they buy.

Trading it to make more btc would be the thing i would do. But not very risky coins just some bitshares or stellar and then wait an dhold.
it was a great suggestion but people will certainly look other altcoin that has more potential than that. I like etherum currently hold more than 100 etherum. I bought when prices ranged between 0.002 BTC. and the current price of more than 0.02 BTC rose more than 100%. of course, if I have 10 BTC capital at that time, I've made 100 btc profit

I'm not thinking that'd be a good idea for newbies to risk huge amount on tradings.

Cause if he's a newbie and has less money to play, he'll learn from his mistakes if he's losing.

But if you suggest trading to some rookie with huge money, by the time he learns or realizes the risks, he'd already lose everything he had. Right?  Grin

Holding is always not profitable, only the holding at the right time gives the better earning. So try some method to multiply rather than holding for a very long time.

i think i have an method to double it within 6 months and ROI of 3 months.

if you interested i can reffer you Wink
just PM me

Is that some kind of "legit" investment site? Grin Please send me a link so I can check it out as well. Smiley

there is a well know fact that when somebody doesn't want to say something in public on the forum (like by posting it in the comments or starting a topic) and tries to communicate in private via PM or other methods he/she is most probably is trying to hide something and scam you.
Yes, they view from the topic that the OP is not expert in managing his/her investment/capital so he/she decides to scam that person and they do not share in public as they know this forum is full of experts.

That is a lot of money but you never know what is going to happen with Bitcoin because if you are now looking at the value you see that the value is not even that high now.
And the most people are hoping that the value will be more worth.

I was being sarcastic at first as there is no way that I will fall victim onto one of these scam sites. Just thought I can check his site out but he never sent me a PM so basically there's no site at all. He's just here to add post counts. Smiley

I think that i will spend it on my self, cause i don't like to hold easy money. If money was easy for you, you will easily spend them anyway.
if you do not like to hold back I also had the same thought with you. but I'm not going to waste my money and I'm not going to spend it with something that does not mean I prefer action and use it for business capital
it is a good thing if you want to grow it

I can do gambling although i know gambling is just a way of losing money not making profit, of course there is the slight chance of winning,. but i have free money  Smiley
Earning with gambling is just a shitty idea, gambling is not letting any person to earn his/her living,
You have to start some good business like start a factory and start producing which will let you earn a good profit.

If someone gave me 10 Bitcoins for free I would just sell them right away. I can use a little money so why would I not sell it. Most people would hold on to these coins for the future but it is a gamble that people take.
We are not sure that the future of Bitcoin is going to be positive for us.

I would hold it till the end of this year and see if I could make some profit with it most likely I will because of the halving.
With 10 bitcoin you can do pretty much in my eyes.

Save it on a paper wallet. I currently don't need to invest in anything and if I don't want to use the money, I can just wait until the price rises to the point where I like it and just sell all of it and invest into a business or something else.
