Great idea, will definitely try it out once server is opened.

This is badass. Add ycontrol to the whitelist please.

If this takes off you could make different servers -- a high rollers room, millibit room, so on and so forth.

Wow this seems like a really cool idea but wouldn't just a simple java game be insecure? Couldn't it be easily hacked? And when can we try this out?

Bitcoin and Minecraft? Add in some cat pictures, something about the show Firefly, and a vaguely leftist doctrine and the internet nerds will go nuts!

Thanks for all the good feedback guys! 300 views and 34 likes on the YouTube video in just a few hours. Remember to put your username down if you want to be added to the white list when it goes live. You can PM me it if you like.

I will let in the first group of people in play money mode next week. I am hoping to get one more game up and running first and do a little bit more internal testing.

If this takes off you could make different servers -- a high rollers room, millibit room, so on and so forth.
Great idea. At first I plan on having different rooms like this in the one server. But depending how popular it gets more servers may be opened. I would rather have 200 players in one server than 20 players over 10 servers.

Wow this seems like a really cool idea but wouldn't just a simple java game be insecure? Couldn't it be easily hacked? And when can we try this out?
The Minecraft client is easily hackable. But all the casino code (tables, bets, odds etc) is kept and processed on the server which makes it just as secure as any website.

- What can be hacked: Minecraft client (Change textures for the hacking user only, fly, teleport, run faster, jump higher etc). This has no impact on the casino and most of this can be detected by the server anyway.
- What can't be hacked: The server (Predict outcome of game, place extra bets, change balances etc). This only possible ways to hack this would be finding an entry through a flaw in my PHP/mySQL code or brute forcing the server password (which would take something like over one million years). This is the same way most webservers are hacked.

Nice idea.   My son likes it because it is minecraft, and I like it because of the BTC.
Maybe we could also bet on how long Creeper can survive in the minesweeper game?
You could have horse racing with minecraft sheep.

So are you going to craft some fountains and light displays too?

Sheep racing is a great idea! Ofcourse it will be done by npc sheep with the outcome determined before the race Smiley.

I have not spent a lot of time on the actual look of the casino yet so yes there will be some cool stuff like fountains etc. I may even get some people in to help me with this if they are willing.

Saw on Reddit.
Looks awesome.
Would love to give it a test run sometime.
As for any ideas, i'd probably like to see the multi-player game: Spleefing
that could be quite good.

Keep up the good work and i will mostly use this when finalized :3

Look forward to seeing you in the game! Unfortunately client side skill based games such as spleef cannot be added as hacking the client will result in unfair advantages to players.

Hmm, this is true, such a shame. Would have loved to see something like that implemented.
Maybe something hunger games or battle royal style within a contained area.
