Thanks to Someguy123 backing up the database, it doesn't have to be started from scratch. He just imported the db to his server and I pointed forum.litecoin.net to his server. Most people wouldn't even have noticed the backend change.

Quite impressed with this feat, you surely got some good hands helping you there  Wink

Well myself too to prompt them to go back everything up and then some and make sure everything was backed up before things got changed.

I am quite shocked at what greedi has done here from been a really good guy now going to resulting in all of this. I thought you where better than this greedi I really did.

Actually, all credit goes to Someguy123. While I was trying to figure out what was going on, I didn't even think of backing up the forum. I guess I was just too naive to realize that Greedi can just all of a sudden disappear and take all his servers down. The second Greedi mentioned leaving, Someguy123 immediately went to backup everything. And he barely managed to do before he lost admin access! Though Greedi did send a last message saying he wasn't trying to screw Litecoin over, but who knows what he was really thinking. I thought I knew him well too.

At the time of this all happening I was on TS with someguy and others and i prompted him as even i lost access to my servers and then things where back up and today servers went down and a lot of other stuff and now their back up and running so it given me time to also back my new projects up too. SO for someguy yes credit goes to him backing stuff up and was very shortly after lost the access.

Well it's probably best that Greedi has been removed from the picture.  I don't know if the forums ever had an official policy on what admins/moderators could do, but searching through PMs didn't seem to have ever been stated or condoned (at least by what coblee has said).  Yes the forums were on Greedi's servers, but if such screenings were being performed, that information should have been made available to the public (sorry, I'm still thrown regarding what crazyearner said on the first page of this thread, maybe the "crazy" part is factual).

Throwing transparent/honest practices and such out the window and giving Greedi the utmost benefit of the doubt, this obviously wasn't a random PM check (as Greedi stated he has issues with coblee) and I don't get why Greedi even tried to give smoothie the "2nd degree".  He obviously read the PM and knew exactly what it said and had some issue with it.  Did he want smoothie to get down on his virtual knees and kiss his rings?  Don't really care for the whole "US/EU" comment either, I understand "English as a first language vs not" but to imply that Americans are somehow fundamentally different (I guess he was trying to say "disrespectful" but who knows) than all of the countries that make up the European Union?  That's just not the kind of nationalism we need in a global community.
