Hi,

I found another Airdrop a bit straight ;-)
check it out
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2014766.120

we need still about 150 etheraccounts until the distribution can start.
the message is a bit like KEK (where I also participated).
"No promises" but if we get enough people together then it will go life.
The dev is currently working in another project and works on this "straightcoin" project for fun.

Just check it out and contribute with 0.01 ETH.

Nothing much apart from the annoucements, any insights?

If you had bitcoin on April 26 2017 in a wallet that you control the private keys, you can claim free bitcore (BTX) on a 1 to 1 ratio.

Just visit the claim webpage and enter all your wallet addresses to see if any one had btc in it on that specific day. If any address is found to contain btc on that day, you will be required to sign a message in your wallet so as to get your free bitcore coins.. Smiley Wink

I really like this thread about a free airdrop but i will appreciate it more if it can only contain only the free distribution coins and not those that requires you to send some funds or participate in signature campaign.

Lysergion Airdrop and signature campaign is still on. Newbies can join.

https://www.lysergion.com/airdrop/

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2056139

Also, Bitcore (BTX) does free Airdrop every Monday to BTX holders (minimum of 10 btx). You get 3% of token amount in your bitx wallet..

A great place to take part in MANTYairdrops is the AirdropTastic Slack channel.

They are very nice and honest too.

They have a thread on Bitcoin Talk where you can post and request an invite to their Slack.

Why so complicated.  Why did byteball make byteball whales out of bitcoin whales?  What purpose did that serve.  Someone with 150 btc doesn't need a mass of byteballs.  Why not give every member of bitcointalk 100 or 1000 byteballs regardless of their btc balance or rank.  Then you will get equal distribution without a mass of confusion.

Because people with some wealth likely know how to manage it and are more valuable in terms of participation in a project.  They're more likely to interact and engage in it on many levels.  If you just hand out tons to a bunch of poor noobs all they're likely to do is sell it for pennies and move on.
Distributing coins simply by giving away to every single member of bitcointalk can't really be said as equal distribution.
That would just feed account farmers who will then dump sell the coins for quick cash.
But if the wealthy holds them, it might raise the value and socialize the use of the coins

Has an aid drop ever actually become valuable?  I don't mean situations like bch where you had to hold another coin or bounties, but coins that are sent for free without any conditions.

NEM airdrop now worth 7 figures, Decred airdrop worth 6 figures, and Ripple airdrop only worth 5 figures now.  At time of airdrop the amount being given was almost nothing.  Somebody please correct me if these figures are inaccurate.

There are many other airdrops/sigdrops/giveaways, and they are usually worthless or worth very little when given, but if you hold for years, some will probably become quite valuable.

Nice DAO airdrop is ongoing.
High participation is very required.
Seems to get very big:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2068554.0
I joined this airdrop and what I like best about it is that they will reward us more tokens if we are active and we actually do tasks and promotions in order to make this project a success. Joint participation makes also for a better community project as well. Thank you for letting us know as I found it here.
Bad news to you , I reported that thread to moderator , it obeys btt rules , ask you people to reply his topic to get airdrop.

Holy shit!  I can't believe NEM, Ripple and Decred were air drops.  Wish I had been around back then.

KEKcoin just launched as well and is now about 0.25BTC per bitcointalk account. I think only members and higher could join.
