Grant coin is being distributed freely as a universal basic income. Distributed once a month right now. I don't know about its future value but it's free at the moment and on 1 exchange. An awesome idea if they are legit, and the have a social media network too. http://www.grantcoin.org
They have a referral program too. opwfgazjb9 is my code if you'd like to use it.

Thanks for your sharing, GrantCoin website looks well developed. But they required sms verification and photo upon signup. May I know how many coin did you receive monthly?

I received 724 and some change during the last drop. Worth about $1.50 usd . I did not have to submit a photo or ID. Maybe a recent change, if so I'm sorry. The sms I did with my own phone but a burner would work. I try to be transparent with my crypto.

http://airdropalert.com/ updated some airdrops. Seems like they only email about airdrops on relatively big airdrops
wow! nice info sir! it a very good website. this is realtime update? i'll bookmark this website to find information about airdrop

Dont think its real time, not 100% of airdrops are listed here either. I dont know if they use some sort of criteria, or if they dont have enough time to research them all.

I did notice they just added Bitcoin as a passed airdrop. After doing some research there were some Bitcoin give aways in 2010/early 2011. So i guess it was added as historical information

I make this thread for new (free) airdrop coins.

I bet a lot of people miss big opportunities (like decred where you get over 1.5 btc for free at that time or node or other coins).

Because not every can look every day at all new threads.

So when you see a coin with a airdrop, than feel free to write it here.
So we will maybe dont miss any airdrop coin anymore.  Smiley

I'm actually new here and I would like to know what is an airdrop coin and how do you earn it? does it happen most of the time? Why is there an air drop coin? Sorry for the questions and I will appreciate your kind answers. Sorry for bothering you guys.

I'm new as well but the way I understand it is: an air drop is free coin given out by the developers of a coin as a mean of releasing it too as many people as possible before it goes on an exchange or is released to the general public through mining or other means. They do this to spread awareness of the coin and their concept. It varies from coin to coin. Someone else may have a better answer.

That's a pretty good explanation. In some cases established coins may do an airdrop as well (such as the recent Byteball and Stellar airdrops) as part of their publicity campaign.

It's a nice bonus when you can get free coins if you have the patiences to HODL them. Here's an example:

When NEM (New Economy Movement) launched in 2014 I signed up for an initial distribution and got 10,000 free NEM. Being the short-sighted bloke that I am, I noticed that it was already trading on Poloniex and that I could get a whole 50 cents for them! Whee! So I promptly sold them and patted myself on the back for the free pocket change. I mean, with a weird name like that how could it ever catch on?

Fast-forward to 2016 and one day I noticed that NEM had clawed its way onto the Top 100 chart at Coinmarketcap. Hmm. My 10,000 NEM were now worth $10. Did I dare buy back in and hope for further gains, or would I just wind up wiping out that 50 cent profit by losing a couple bucks if it deflated? After studying it a little more, I bought my 10,000 NEM back.

Then late this spring I sold them again for over $2,000. So I missed on the rise from 50 cents to $10, but thankfully I got to ride the rest of the wave. Let that be a lesson in HODLING!

Why did you only get 10 000 NEM? NEMstakes were free and held 2 000 000 NEM each.

Great story, thanks for sharing!
It was crypto early days. I wonder if any airdrop nowadays could be so profitable in future.
What's your opinion?

Just want little bit share my experience.
Now I'm participating about 18th of airdrops and giveaways all together.

So now is the best active airdrops - bitsend (maybe 17 coins per week, bitsend available in exchanges), I like liteshares (just one guy open it, but I hope it will be like bitcoin-litecoin), possible to receive netm. And you can try bitrad.io, but I think it quite late to earn coins by listening radio (available in exchange)

It is hard to tell if the coin will have great price in future, that's why ebliever sold it at 2016 for $10, but luckily he bought back again. So, since the airdrop is free, his lesson teach us "HOLD".

Looks like if you join the slack you can get some airdropped tokens.
I've gone and looked over there, I've joined and left my waves address in their sagging channel according to their orders to leave the wallet's address on the slack channel and hopefully I'm not too late for this, by the way, thanks for the information.
