Exactly what the title says.

If bitcoin dropped to the price of a dollar (which we hope it never will), what would you do? Buy more and hold, sell? Buy a promising altcoin like ETH?

I personally would buy more bitcoin.
just like dash or monero, bitcoin will have any fans and holder, impossible if bitcoin lost their fans because the price gong drop, and i'm alos will keep being bitcoin holder, what ever the price going to be.

Dropping of $1 is not a big matter. Bitcoin has dropped to a big level at times, even during those times of decrease bitcoin users are still following with positive hope. This is the thing that made bitcoin worthy among all the digital currencies.

Nothing. Because, along with bitcoin, price of essential commodities will drop as well. So, the purchasibility will remain same. Gain will be for those, who are HODLing dollar.

Huh? You really think the bitcoin market has any relation to the major ones? It's traded by a few thousand people on exchanges run by guys who keep the private keys in their mother in law's cupboard.

It depends on if the bitcoin still has hope, if it does not, I will sell before it touches $1. If it does, I will buy a lot.

Isnt that scenario very hard? I know I would buy a hell lot of bitcoins just to have them and also a lot more people would buy from the same reason. What would theoretically have to happen for one USD per btc?

If bitcoin falls that low then I will surely buy lots of coins and keep it safe for the future as I am very sure that bitcoin will rise in future too.

This is a little unrealistic but let's just assume this happened. I think I'd hold onto my bitcoins and even buy some more. There's a possibility that after most people dump their bitcoin, the bitcoin's price will go high. I'd sell my bitcoins then when its price goes back to 400$.
Yes, this is highly unlikely to happen. The price will never dip too much. Unless and until there is a big big collapse in the bitcoin economy or internet goes offline. We are moving towards $1000 price, so there is no room for any fall, over all.

I would also purchase Bitcoin.

I would exchange altcoins I have into Bitcoin as well (depending on how and why the price fell).

Its almost like pointless to discuss about BTC going to one dollar. Actually I would bet my ass that it is much more likely that it will go to 1000 usd instead of 1 usd.

I think the price of Bitcoin would drop to $1 only if Satoshi Nakamoto would sell his/her stash of coins and the market crashes to the ground. But if this highly unlikely event does happen I would buy as many Bitcoins as possible and sell everything for profit if another crazy pump and dump happens later on.

I will do the same as price fall and rise is not new in bitcoin, if it has fallen it has again reached to a respected level, so I will continue to buy more coins if it goes that low.

Anything under 100 USD right now means Bitcoin is absolutely dead. Considering buying at 1 USD right now is gamble which you're gonna lose. Open your eyes guys, Ethereum is coming. Blockstream fucked up Bitcoin and that's a fact.

I don't think bitcoin will to that low in future, as price seems to be stable now and the best thing is its not going lower at a moment, so we can expect price will rise in future too.

Well, good luck to anyone buying at that level with the expectation of it coming back. I suppose there is the prospect of it making some type of recovery but it would likely be an irrelevance forever more.

Something so far out only has one chance to earn trust. If it turns everyone's funds to effective dust don't expect most people to bother coming back.
