How can we be sure this is legit, and how will lost funds be replaced?

Hi,

I fully understand the scepticism, which was why I also made the transactions visibile and linked the addresses to explorers. So that you can (if you want) track the coins.

I am not the owner nor operator of Novaexchange, but I am a close IRL friend of the founder since many many years. I dont want him, or his users (you) to suffer from this.

All the LTC donations so far are from ScryptPool and it's users.

I'll see about getting the first transactions over to get the refunding process started as soon as possible.

The lost funds will be replaced with the generous donations.

I have contacted the dev and asked about my LTC balances - no response. I provided detailed screenshots and tried via Twitter and Email. Nothing. Does anyone know what happened to these balances and what are the chances to get it back? I thought only Bitcoin was affected by the hack.

I've also tried asking about this here on BTCTalk several times, in this thread and Espers thread, but nobody even bothered to react to my questions.  Sad Except the Espers dev asking why I had become interested in ESP again.

Stay tuned, he'll get back to you when he catch up on all the questions.

Yes, BTC was where the trouble started, then those bitcoins were used in other markets and spreading the contamination. At the same time, normal trades occured, withdrawals, deposits, and so forth, shuffling the fake btc around.

After some days of investigation, and all users withdrawals, the damage became much more clear, and as it stands now 3.82 BTC, 270 LTC and 303951671 ESP is what is missing.

That mean that exchange is out of business, you won't refund customers coins - or do you plan on repair everything, give back money to your customers and revive your reputation?
I am afraid that exchange with problems will always remain secondary or third trading platform for crypto users...

If its true, these loses should be peanuts for an exchange owner to write off and carry on with the running of the exchange - glad its not in 100s of bitcoins.
I remember poloniex going through a similar phase long back. They reopened their exchange with all the balances and there was an option to donate towards the loses on customer's discretion, in the withdrawal/balance page. That way every one was sure that their donation is going to the right place and it was easier for the loyal customers to donate too.

All refund claims will go through me ( bejjan@scryptpool.com ) and will be verified with Novaexchange.

You'll need:

* TxID for atleast one deposit to your account at Novaexchange

* Email or username at Novaexchange

Once verified by Novaexchange and the donation balance is enough, your refund will be processed.

So, I can't wintdraw btc (and it gone from balance).

Is there plans to reverse btc_esp trades? Or I completely lost my espers wich has been sold for BTC?

I receive all my espers back.

It was fun trade in this market, I sended 5 LTC and some espers to save Nova.

What is the current progress? After refunding all users, do you have plans to relaunch the exchange? Make sure you follow and confirm all security measures before relaunch.
