I'm pretty sure this is labled as a civil matter in canada. I bought a bunch of speakers off of the back of a van once. The police were almost laughing at me when I called to report that i've been scammed.  Roll Eyes

I wouldn't be surprised that you were targeted because you had so many coins.

I would direct you to http://www.antifraudcentre-centreantifraude.ca/. Unfortunately, Canadian authorities aren't very familiar with Bitcoin, but it's better than doing nothing.

We had guys that used to do that here. They would show you a fake invoice and say they accidently got double from the warehouse and where wondering if you needed speakers. Turns out people would overpay thinking they where getting something hot.
They made good money doing this and it was not criminal.

So sorry for your loss, People need to be more careful about .doc files. there are a lot of nasty exploit builders out there now for these types of things.

I will have a look at all the files you have uploaded. I will attempt to see what type of virus was used against your system,

Chances are its going to be some type of backdoor or botnet that was used.

Just wondering why you would have that amount of btc on tap in one wallet thought?
Paper wallet cold storage or hardware wallet would of been highly advisable

Well that really sucks, but why did you post all the links here? Do you also want us to get scammed or what? Seems a bit fishy.

do you run a full node? I think If your wallet was encrypted then they sent it via rpc calls.

Yes, full node, but how can he removed all my blockchain files later?

Do you live your entire life on you Macbook, including doing your banking transactions?

You should also assess what information was lost with their access to your computer. Then take steps to ensure that you don't stand to lose anything else in addition to your coins.

People should be treating their computer with a wallet or even day trading off the internet as much as possible.  My banking computer is only connected to do transactions.  I have another one for trading.  You dont need a fancy computer for your bank, just no surfing and no emails.

Yes, you should keep your computer system safe on which you have installed your wallet. Keep it save strong password and install anit-virus
and internet security tools on it so that it cannot be hacked easily.
You can use mobile wallet instead of desktop wallet to be more safe.

There's a difference between 425 BTC and speakers.
But yeah people still do that with jewerly, watches and any other items that works well with this type of scam.

The nature of the scam OP is talking about is different and more severe.

This is a very sad story and if it's true I'm really sorry for your loss. However it's very hard to believe that someone having more than $250k was interested in a shady job offer in the first place. But who knows, maybe it's true, so I'm sorry mate.

This is clearly a phishing scam! If these are true, I guess there is no way for you to get back your coins unless the hacker decided to give them back to you. This is the disadvantage of no-charge back feature of bitcoin, even though the transaction was not initiated by the owner.

I think its a exe file too ,phishing + exe, fake software, After you download the software it will.automaticaly install in your computer, the software contains keylogger, It can remove by manually uninstalling it. I heard a news about it

for phishing you just need to be careful not to fill email and password on unknown sites and a different view or a different url address. it could be flagged if it is a phishing site or not.
but for keylogger or malware Sometimes antivirus did not detect
