So, what are we supposed to do now?
Wait for rise 2.0, exchange for those chipz (in both cases, will it be a 1:1 exchange?) or dump the hell out of this coin?

will be distributed to Rise holders in an airdrop-type way,
comparable to how for instance Byteball distributed their tokens to BTC holders.
In other words, Rise tokens will not be exchanged for Chipz. You keep your Rise and
you will be rewarded Chipz according to the amount of Rise you have when the snapshot
of the balances is being taken.

Rise 2.0/Rise Classic will be comparable to Ethereum(ETH)/Ethereum Classic(ETC),
where Rise Classic will continue on its own blockchain being a 1 on 1 clone of LSK and Rise 2.0
on its own blockchain. Rise Holders will have both Rise Classic and Rise 2.0 tokens when that happens.  
Our primary focus right now is Rise Classic and getting Delegate forging enabled for the community ASAP
and bringing Chipz to Rise holders.

How will this distribution be made? Through ICO website?

they seem to be making some thing cool this time. its out of the plan but yes new construction. keep an eye on them still because i saw them weeks ago that it cause a semi good volume on bittrex. it would be surprising to see them live up to its name. i'd buy back if they reach up to just $0.01

There is no byteball distribution to Rise holders because the ICO funds were liquidated to fiat.

Development Update:

We have a fairly big announcement. We are in the process of restoring investor confidence and part of that process is to reward our current Rise token holders, as well as getting delegates forging as soon as possible. Even though we are currently on this path, it’s only fair to mention that we had hit a bumpy road.  

Previously, we have been pulling teeth, trying to get updates from our development team. It had gotten to a point where we were instructed to formulate emails as the “method” to reach them. Days had turned into weeks and even after many promises of daily updates, we still didn’t see progress. Many of you guys had stressed your concern as well.

We were then told by Justin that his development team needed more funds to continue the project. After close examination, and to prevent our funds from becoming more depleted with little to show for it, we discontinued funds to Don’t Panic (Justin’s business). As a result, Don’t Panic including our co-founder Justin walked away from the project.

However, we have acted quickly and are working with another developer right now. We will let everyone know who this is in an upcoming announcement. All Rise 2.0 work so far has been transferred to our new developer. Before we move further on that, we have decided that we will push out Rise Classic by cloning Lisk to get delegates forging and earning rewards ASAP.

We had relied on Justin’s promises that Rise 2.0 code base was going to be “easy enough” for him and we counted on his insight, such as promising a working prototype by December. It was moved to January, and then to February. And nothing came to fruition. “More funds” was never part of our original agreement with him.

So we have decided to move quickly and get Lisk cloned and delegates forging (Rise Classic) while Rise 2.0 is looked at by our hired new developers. We don’t want to waste any more time on this. In addition, we will be rewarding our token holders by providing them with Chipz which is explained below.

We are in negotiations with an online casino software supplier with the aim to launch a fully operational online gaming platform that will operate using Chipz tokens as the currency. Rise holders will receive Chipz tokens based on their holdings. The value of Chipz will be determined by the free market as soon as it hits an exchange. In order to use the casino players will be required to purchase Chipz tokens... Chipz will be available for purchase direct from the casino converted at the current market price or from an exchange. As soon as fiat gateways are available on the Waves network the casino will begin accepting fiat tokens that can be used to instantly purchase chipz for use in the casino.

More details to be revealed as we advance the Chipz project.

LOL, just LOL...I am literally falling of my chair laughing at this shit show. So after that one eyed fuck stole hundreds of thousands to his fake shell company "Don't panic..." you guys realized he was doing fuck all and using those 2 other bone heads to funnel investor cash out to his pocket. Not bad he got to leave scotch free with a few hundred thousand $$. @Alty aka Cormac great work, pretty sure you got part of the ICO money out to one of the scammers.

Now another fairy dust coin is being created to compensate for people loosing their asses in the RISE ICO to suck even more money out. Jesus a million  dollars isn't enough for you guys.

At least people have John's real identity, hopefully someone takes his second eye  lol.

Now lets see guessing there's around what 750k $$ left from the ICO funds, the plan must of been like 300k for the 2 founders, 200k for Alty for mastering this scam and the rest given to the few useless staff members that held their dicks in their hand for the past 8 months.

I got out of this a long time ago, broke even. I dodged a nuke here lol.

I don't know. This project has so far been such a dissapointment. Now all of a sudden this chipz thing. This is not what your supporters invested in.

Maybe in this case it's worth considering giving back the remaining dev funds to the investors. Besides I think it would be worth it to put some funds apart for seeing DPC. If they delivered nothing, they should be paying the money back.

Still some people trust RISE has a future? No, I gave it up long time ago. We need to focus more on the development of other coins, therefore we can forget this abandoned ship.

I dunno man. These guys don't look like criminals to me. I honestly believe they are doing their best. I know they are moving at a slow pace, but so are many other projects. They should just interact a little bit more with their community.

But I agree that if in the end no results are realized and the dev fund is 90%-95% paid to DPC the donators should pursue legal actions. But atm this is way to early to conclude in my opinion. This ain't easy stuff to program. I will give it another 6 tot 9 months to see development results, but in the meanwhile i would like to see some PR efforts to connect with the community. But they said they are working on this.
