168,64 TH/s at the time of writing. This info is the exact oposite of what i anticipated. I guess some miners belive there is a future for this ledger.

To the hit and run miner that spiked the difficulty for everyone else a special thank you. This just proofs one thing that that are heartless dicks on this planet of ours that enjoy messing up a unique birthday present.

Satoshi is very proud of you. I will hold back on saying to the exact words that come to mind as i am better then that.

Thank you all for your efforts. Seeing people from all over the world get involved with a tiny little project like this make me belive that someday we will change the world for the better.

The last block was more than 8 hours ago.

Pool operators (and everyone that is solo mining with some serious hardware) should restart the lanacoind daemon on your pool.

If you check your daemon log, you are probably getting the proper difficulty target but the blocks are rejected with this error:

Code:
ERROR: CheckBlock() : block timestamp too far in the future
ERROR: ProcessBlock() : CheckBlock FAILED

This has nothing to do with the difficulty but it is a time problem.

To fix this and find the next block, restart your daemon.

Restart it every 30 minutes until the next block is found.

Cheers

168,64 TH/s on mineblocks' pool.

this coin not for me thank you.

Hi the number represent the hashrates from last two blocks found. Current hashrate at @mineblocks is 1Ths , XaX pool 2.2Ths.

Right now diff is astronomical as some joker desided to pump the power and drop the miners after block was found so the diff got stuck at the current diff.

Hopefully we can get to the next block soon. Feel free to return when things stabilize. I can safelly save its was not a smooth launch.

Someone seems to have a personal grudge or something so he/she/they decided to pull this hashrate pump and dump to put the network to a stall.

But rest ashure at some point we will get to duo sha256 and once stake network comes online things will be work is they should.

Thats what i get for choosing to go with sha256 Smiley

Bust it still is just a launch day hickup.

Best regard

Hi QuartX

Of course it does , diff retarget is on every block.

It got stuck at 6.2 M diff most likely because someone intentionally brough massive THs of power and after block was found , diff readjusted and then left and left other miners do deal with the new diff.

Rest ashure we will get past this and move on.

Best regards

Well here are some facts. Network is stuck at block 12 with out of this world difficulty 774 M.

Last 5 block where mined at http://ypool.ga/lana/index.php?page=statistics&action=pool while the whale miners that brought the massive sha256 power to the pool are not mining anymore.

I have pointed all the Hw i posses to the pool in hopes of getting LanaCoin backontrack. I am done speculating if this happened by pure coinsidence or was it intentional to destroy what was essentially a perfectly viable cryptocoin
with a tribute note to honour my daughters birthday.

I have just messaged Ypool admin @nikl and asked to provide some insights as i am shure he has some as there where only two workers/miners mining on the pool at the time last 5 blocks where mined and i dont know of any pool operator that dont own some gear to begin with.

If i knew that it would come to this i would never consider having a fair and open launched and would be better of with a 10% premine IPO (essentially the last thing on my mind).

I will leave the network up for reccuring 48hours after that i am pulling the plug and putting LanaCoin back to the dev board for a remake and a relaucnch as i am not gonna drop the whole thing just because of this crap.

If the hashrate pump and dump was indeed deliberate rest ashure my daughter Lana thinks no less of me or considers her unconventional gift a failure in fact she said "dont worry you will get it wright, tommorow is a new day and i will be 10 yearls old entire year so you have time".

I want to thank you all that got envolved in any way with this i just came here to tell you LanaCoin is here to stay but just in case i will be calling it a failed coin in 48 hours you can bed on one thing sha256d will not be the algo when its released.

Best regards to all

PS: Dear mobicoint and reset from Ypool if you are reading this thanks a lot for the hit and run hope you feel like a million bitcoins.

Hello! I'm new to this business, if I did something wrong then tell me how to fix it, if it depends on me

Hi mobicont tnx for reaching out.  Technically speaking you did nothing wrong, essentially you took over the network in first hour after coin launch.

Essntially i have no one to blame but myself as i wanted a fair open start for all-

No worries you couldnt have know the effects specially if you are just getting to know cryptocurrencies. I am guessing you rented a huge ammount of sha256mining rigs for a short period of time and pointed the asics to your workers at Ypool.

Here is what happend after your miners stopped or lease expired. You essentially rented waaaaay too much sha256 mining power to behin with and mining difficulty went skyhigh as a result as mining difficulty is recalculated after every block.

As soon as your miners stopped the total hashing power on the network droped to only a portion of what you rented/pointed to on of the mining pool. Therefore making it almost impossible to solve the next block with the leftover hashrate.

No worries i will call this a failed launch and since it was only 32 hours since launch a reboot is in order.

I hope the community didnt experince any significant loss of funds as a result and that you all recconect upon relaunch.

Stand by for detaills.

Best regards to all.

Hello! I'm new to this business, if I did something wrong then tell me how to fix it, if it depends on me

You mined lanacoin with a lot of hash power a little period of time.

If you want to unstall the network, you must mine with some power for more minutes than you did it at launch.

Lanacoin is available on xaxamining pool.

Dear BCT community

Please shut down you miners, shutdown and remove you wallets (cleanup/delete data folders  in case you dont know where they are https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Data_directory and look for lanacoin ).

LanaCoin will be relaunched/rereleased in a couple of days. Wallets have been unpublished, source code is removed from Git and will be back on GitHub soon.

It was a tough call to make but my decision is final! Llaunch was a complete fail in my book and i have only myself to blame as i didt follow my initial plan.

The initial  plan was to premine 100 blocks  to reach maturity of coins to  the point where proof of stake kicks in along with proof of work and to protect the network from the type of events that occured.

If the network would have been online for 1-2 weeks or more my decision would be different but since its 2 days and 7 hours i am pulling the plug and releasing the coin they way it was initially planned.

Thoose 100 premined blocks therefore apox 1.0000.000 LANA or 0,0221877080097626 % of the total supply  where ment for Lana as a gift but i didnt want all the "premine" negativity and therefore decided to launch it 100% open for everyone.

The new launch will be exactly as written above. 100 blocks will be premined to reach the maturity of coins that will alll be distributed to the seed stake nodes and to Lanas birthday gift wallet.

A fully functional PoW/PoS network will enshure that the network will be synched and up to date ragardless of the state of PoW blocks.

Lana will decide how many of the premined coins will be given away for possible bounties, ANN translations, faucet top ups .....

Thank you again for your time support and patience and if there was a rational/economical  way to get the newtwork back on track i would take it.

Please comment bellow how you feel about this decision.

Thank you.

I think we will resolve the block soon.
But if the dev want to relaunch, Lanacoin is his coin.

If we resolve soon, and we solve 100 blocks, pos mining will start and we don't have diff problems again.

When lanacoin relaunch, I will update the pool for new lanacoin.

So read a lot about possible relaunch etc. Now on relaunch is the current chain being scrapped and starting from scratch? Just curious. 7.5 bil coins sure went pretty quick. sha256 is bad bad bad for mining. It puts the bulk into those who have mining systems and not very many others. lyra2rev2 or something should be used so that more people can get there hands on this coin via mining and not just those with mining rigs. Take the hashing power away from the full blown miners and your girls coin can moon.

Good Luck.

Hi craslovell there was no limit on diff adj. Limiting it has is pros and cons and it will almost for shure not be set in the relaunch code.
No worries about missing the  initial launch as its was a failed one so relaunch is a 100% thing now as seed nodes are down and source is removed from Git.

Once everything is set as described in my previous post source will be republished. Blockexplorer will be the first to be notifed once the code is back on Git.

To get first hand info when the code is back follow the repo on Git or monitor LanaCoin on twitter https://twitter.com/LanaCoin.

Thank you.

Hi xaxuke thank you very much for your effords on solving the astro diff block but dont waste your THs. Relaunch decision is final and source will be back online once there is a fully funcional PoS network and for that at least 100 blocks from PoW are needed.

Have a great day!
