How would you double $100,000 safely?

I have $100,000 to invest but want to safely double it in a year. Any suggestions?

-Don't keep the money. Inflation bites.
-Don't deposit the money into the bank.
-Don't by shares or land

I still think investing in bitcoins is the good thing to do with that amount, it is very lucrative when investing in bitcoin, may believe that the price will rise in the future, so if you just buy bitcoins now then after the halving you can sell you bitcoin again with a decent profit. There's a contradiction in the thread title: nothing will give us the chance to double all that money safely! we can't even double one single dollar safely. Of course there are ways to double it but they involve a lot of study and research that very few people do.

Doubling at most of the times is not safe. People tends to scam on account of doubling the coins and most people greed led them to get scammed by such peoples.

Yes, those people who are offering us the schemes of doubling our money are actually scam and want to loot our money, we should not have to rely on them and have to find any other way, like we have to start our own business etc.

well thats was just for fun.. if i had 100,000$ i will not look for a way to make it doubled , but instead i will exchange it to our currency . and give me the amount of 4million pesos. enough to start a happy life.

I would invest the full amount in BTC with a 5 to 7 year horizon, create some paper wallets, spread the BTC out and put in cold storage. Seriously!

Kinda hard to say "double".

But I would assure you would be up, $1k per month instead just by getting a traditional note, with less time on them.

And invest the small portion of it into known bigger services like primedice that take private investor money, this is something you`d have to approach on your own to get in that group.

There is no way to do this. Risk-free returns max out at around 2%. If you want more return that that you can take on more risk, but, in general, you can't get a higher risk-free return. For example you could invest in stocks for about a 7-10% return with relatively high risk, or venture capital, casinos (I don't recommend this), or illegal investment schemes (strongly recommend against) with VERY high risk.

It's called a risk premium. If anyone could just "double their money safely in a year" we'd all be rich and no one would bother with risky stocks with a much lower return.

In order to see your investment double in value with real estate you will need to invest that amount into a country or a city which you think will get booming in the coming years. Otherwise you'll end up seeing increases of 5-10% per year in perfect circumstances.

Lol that would be you committed suicide. to put money of $100k of course the deposits of other users will not be enough to pay $200k even $1000
so of course this is fine dining in the morning to the owner. because the owner could just go scam and disappeared, a very stupid choice when using a doubler ponzi

In hindsight, if anyone of us put 100k into bitcoin a year ago, it would have doubled!

But, how many of us could have taken all the up and down of the market?  I think I personally would have had a nervous breakdown or a heart attack.  Plus, btc can be very unsafe--imagine if you doubled your btc to 200k worth.  How safe would you feel?  Yes your wallets may be backed up and safe, but if someone held a gun to my head, no passphrase with 2fa is going to stop the criminal from getting my btc.  

If it has to be in a year, then I would consider trading, because, for 100k, you could get a pretty good price on bitcoin.  I think you could resell them at a decent markup.  I would then continue this cycle of arbitrage, and I think I could double in a year.  

You could also buy some stocks that have the potential of doubling in a year, but are still safe, like Apple or Google.

With the amount of $100,000 that is already a huge amount, you can double it of course if you invest it in a business, maybe you can try an online trusted casinos, that can be easily double because you will have a good share of the money pot or else if you wanna play it more safer you should make an online casino.

Yes, a year ago this decision would have been difficult, but no more difficult than choosing any other commodity. Investment always have a degree of risk, and if you look at Bitcoin, the price was very volatile for the first few years and then it stabilized.

We see Bitcoin as a high risk investment, because it's mostly still in a experimental phase and when we give people advice, it usually come in this form : "Do not invest more than what you can afford to loose"  If this 100k was all his wealth, I would not advice him to go ALL in, but he might be loaded and 100k might not make a dent in his pocket. ^smile^ If this is the case, I would say : Go for it.

Frankly speaking, there is no safe way to double your money within a year. if there is a way, I would love to hear it.

However, the fastest way to double your money is trading in the market. But this is not a safe way. You need to do a lot of speculation and research before your head up to trading.

However, if you found any way to double your money within a year, please do let me know as well.
