Today is the day of upsets. Chelsea  lost to Bournemouth by one goal, Bayer 04 Leverkusen lost to 1.FC Koln (Bundesliga) by two goals. I wished i could have put the bet on these winnings teams and their odds were better too.

Just got back from Anfield, happy we got the win. Watford were good today though, I don’t know if it was us being really poor after a CL midweek hangover but Watford were maybe unlucky not to get a draw today. They certainly pushed us a lot harder than many other teams do.

December is really very tough in EPL as too many matches and players have not enough time for settling so too many upsets happen which are not new but good for many those love underdoges.

It is always difficult to guess these games correctly, the further we go easier the home team and who will win gets but during these times it is always a bit more chaotic. Yes, there are obvious teams and they usually end up winning and they did move on to next stage (most of them) but for some reason even the best teams that people see as a contender for the cup end up losing some points.

I guess it is because it is not elimination and teams can lose some points during the group stages to eventually move up a stage, when it is elimination teams play with that in mind so the better ones play to win those games and make a difference. It is quite difficult to predict which games those teams will lose points tho, it is always a thing you know might happen but always surprising when it happens.

Nobody could have guessed Leicester would lose points to Norwich, I mean we all knew that they were playing well above their pay grade (which is not the first time Leicester did that) and I was assuming they would eventually lose points to teams like city, lfc, even maybe spurs, united, Chelsea type of big teams but I wasn't expected the team that is second in premier league would tie against a team like Norwich which is literally at the bottom (except our beloved Watford ) Chelsea was a bit more expected, I mean Bournemouth is also horrible considering a team like Chelsea but Chelsea wasn't having a great time neither, they might be at fourth spot right now but they also lost 4 of their last 5 matches so something is going on with Chelsea for sure.

Stability is usually a big problem for your team, that is what Chelsea have to face with at the current period of this season. Another problem is their young coach, Frank Lampard. He is a great one for now and might become one of greatest coaches in Chelsea history. But at the season, Lampard somehow shows his lack of ability to help his team maintain a stable performance in the long run. Maybe in the second season with Chelsea, Lampard might improve his management skills to help Chelsea's performance a long the entire season.

I the end, nothing really suprising about today's matches. United drawing at home isn't exactly unfamiliar. Spurs were the slight favourites. City did what was expected.

Watford showed us they could play toe to toe with the champions of Europe yesterday, didn't they?
