Loads of talk now about Chelsea in trouble, before that it was Arsenal that was in trouble. Now even they are asking about Spurs being in trouble for collecting only 2 points from the last possible 12 (4 games). But everyone is dropping points and drawing, I think this is just a sign of season fatigue as pointed out above.

It’s a really odd season, like no other really. Everybody is dropping points, far more than usual. There are no fans in most stadiums, the season started later than usual so games are condensed, there's less time for recovery, there’s loads of injuries & obviously players are getting covid too.

I’m happy we have football to watch & gamble on though, life is definitely not as fun with the football

I am too afraid to pick straight wins for teams lately in EPL or I would go with straight win for Burnley knowing that Sheffs are having their worse run in the EPL campaign, I could get better odd in total. However I feel I made mistake having Barcelona to win. They have habit to mess with with weaker teams.

Me too.  We really played well against Chelsea, no gimme there, that was earned.  It definitely seemed like the Gunners were playing with a purpose,  the way we all expected when the season started.  That goal by Saka was hilarious, he even seemed surprised, lol

Yup! Got some money on Arsenal although HT stats seem to suggest they might end up losing this one too, but hope I'm wrong. Also 5/1 Wolves against United might seem like a sucker's bet given Wolves being thin and United on fire, but hey, no risk no gain.

Anyone else did the Over 1.5 on all Championship games special? 18/1 seemed like a good way for me to put some money on it. Derby already 3-0 up so first game safe.

Looks like you knew it was going to be a loss. Arsenal won their game with just 1 goal. Then west brom that scored an away goal against Liverpool couldn't replicate the same today against Leeds. Really fascinating stuff right there. Barcelona game just ended few moments ago and it was a draw. Funny thing is Barcelona was behind before drawing levels. The kind of results we see in football games these days makes it harder to win bets. Favorites constantly losing to underdogs. Sorry about your loss mate.

You're not alone on this. With the way top teams have been this season, it's actually hard to make such calls. Liverpool, Man city, Chelsea, Arsenal and Man Utd have been terrible this season. Even striving teams like Tottenham and Leicester fall short of this too.

I don't know exactly where and which bookie it was, but i saw something like this: 'Will VAR be used in this match, YES or NO'. Nobody likes VAR i'm sure, but if we have it available to bet, i will personally be putting money on it more often than not. I've no idea if your odds provider can deliver on a request like this or will there be public interest, but i like obscure markets, will be fun to have one imo...

I was aiming low, but apparently not low enough. As you can figure out, I was gunning for a single goal in Saints vs West Ham and for at least 1-1 in Brighton - Arsenal. Seems like hell is freezing over at Premier league.

The problem with that is that VAR is almost always going to be used when someone shoots at the goal or is in the buildup of doing that in a Premier League match so the Yes pick is going to be flooded by leechers who otherwise aren't betting anything.

I don't think this can be spammed really, towards official VAR checks goes only: a] check for a penalty or not, b] check for an offside after a goal or c] rough tackle, check if it deserves a red card (or downgrade from a red card). These are usually marked by live scoring websites like this or this. For example, in today's 5 matches, there was only one VAR check @ Brighton vs. Arsenal match for a potential penalty...and besides odds for VAR won't be that high anyway.

You can regulate it. Let's call all those cases when VAR activates in background "silent VAR" and those when main referee is called to judge the situation "ref VAR". There is much more silent VAR cases and every ref VAR case is immediately a silent VAR case as well.

There is an official record of VAR usage for every game and let's say it is usually around 2-5 times per game. You can then offer standard handicap spreads for silent VAR usage.

In addition to that you can offer another market called ref VAR, and let's say that it is happening every second game per stats.

Sorry about that. I know better than to tip Chelsea's men to win in any of my slips. I also had them to win in one of my slips and was glad to see them take the lead early in the first half but then I got worried when they couldn't double their lead in the second half after being wasteful a couple of times in front of goal. That's why I wasn't surprised to see Villa guys level the game. If Lampard continues with results like this, he would be shown the door pretty soon.

In other of my parleys, I had Chelsea on a win/draw double chance and over 1.5 total goals. So it was a nice consolation for me.

After the weekend I got smarter about it and didn't wagered on Chelsea at all . They looked lost on the weekend so I assumed they would have two options when they would come to this game, either play with passion and destroy Villa, or just play badly as always and expected. I wasn't really hoping for them lose neither, I hoped they would win so I would put them back on my list of teams to wager, but by the looks of it they are still off.

The reason why many people wager on other stuff than money line is exactly because of what you had, when you wager like 1.5+ goals for example you do not have to know who will win, just how many goals, and 2 goals are not that weird to predict, so you would earn something. It means you did the right thing, I usually end up doing basically the same on Germany league, instead of trying to figure out who will win, just do 1.5+ and move on .

I got three wrong from that slip. West Brom was not able to score, in Arsenal match they had only one goal, and my biggest fear of hot favorite not to win their match. It was Barcelona. I see you lost your betbuilder too. Our luck did not favor us at all in those slips.

But Barcelona conceding a goal first in fact was a blessing for me. I lost a lot on that day in different slips and different matches. My balance were almost half. Once Barcelona conceded the goal I gone all in for Barcelona draw no bet. I know I would lose everything but I really did not have motivation to go slow and continue for rest of the week. After few minutes Barcelona equalized and I did not wait anymore. I cashed out and made almost 2x of my stake. So I was able to recover the lose I had all the day.
